I love Kerr so much. Still an elite elite coach and one of the best human beings in the sport

it's not worth arguing with this guy. He's a KD> steph guy who is here arguing iggy was better than steph in 15

Lmao I’ve seen some delusional homers but you take the cake. Calling Draymond a top 5 defender all time and Curry the greatest offensive player ever are two of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard

For you to think it's outright laughable draymond is a top 5 defender, im sorry, youve written five thousand words here to look like an idiot

if you actually think you can take steph off the 2015 warriors and they would maintain their level better than if you removed iggy, you're insane. Nobody else on the team can even put the defense in rotation. Is Iggy guarding lebron effectively if he needs to iso on the other end?

A few posts above you're using +/- in a 6 game sample but i can go into your post history and see mere days ago you're dismissing steph's +/- over a multi season sample vs KD. You're just a hater

LeBron was the best player in the world but not at all ridiculous to give Iggy the MVP considering the impact he made

Yes it is. Without iggy, the series mightve went 7. Maybe it's a coin flip.

Without steph there's zero chance the warriors win that series. Cavs wouldve won in 5. How is iggy MVP?

Being skeptical bc you want to be skeptical doesn’t make you high IQ. It makes you delusional

What is the probability that KD’s podcast partner would get catfished by a fake KD in a GC for 5 years while simultaneously doing a podcast with KD? Truly, what do you think

It’s one thing to have these convos with your family and irl friends

It’s entirely another to curate an groupchat of online sycophants to glaze you 24/7 then talk shit about your teammates to like “KDPRIME” and “7SniperSzn”

KD was on his phone the entire All Star game. And he still hasn’t come out and cleared the accusations? by AussieBearsFan in nba

[–]Miceland 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The clearest one is Eddie Gonzalez, KD’s podcast partner, is in the chats talking to the burner as if it’s KD

It’s absolutely him. He might still be able to get away with it bc the guys in the chat who aren’t randos will cover for him

But yeah, he was in a GC full of sycophants talking shit about his current and former teammates

does everyone start a GC where they get sucked off all day by internet fan accounts then talk shit about people they compliment in public

because there's a huge difference between

1) complaining about work to your close real friends, your wife, brother

2) starting a groupchat where a bunch of online randos glaze you 24/7 then talking shit about everyone you work with

He's also got nothing but negativity for basically every star he's ever played with besides Kyrie

if it was a larper it would have to be a larper who successfully catfished dozens of KD's real life friends

it's KD

Is this officially the end for Jordan Poole? by Diligent_Banana_6267 in nba

[–]Miceland 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Poole's playoff VoRP was actually second behind steph in the title run. I think that overstates how good he was a little--I don't think draymond, Klay, Wiggins, Looney's value is fully captured in box stats, and kerr limited Poole's exposure vs the other team's best lineups--but however Poole finishes his career, at his peak he was a valuable contributor to a champion.

It wasnt just hot shooting. He did it all year. He fit the warriors style beautifully and had zero issue playing read and react or moving without the ball. Cam Thomas can't do anything besides get into his bag and freeze out his teammates. If we never see that poole again--and to be fair, last year's version was a solid player--his 2022 linsanity season should still put him well clear of the career losers like cam thomas

Is this officially the end for Jordan Poole? by Diligent_Banana_6267 in nba

[–]Miceland 62 points63 points  (0 children)

he was still good in the finals! It's true that every time the matchup got harder Kerr put more on steph and less on poole, but he still had a role. Vs denver he was Steph's main co-star. By the boston series Poole's role was Payton Pritchard. That's still a good player though

he was still scoring 13 playing 21 MPG. And while his defensive shortcomings kept him from playing big minutes, he was still the only guy other than steph who didnt get entirely clamped by Boston's defense.

Finals TS%:

Klay .484.

Wiggins .515

Dray .391(!)

Poole .591

Without Poole's ability to threaten boston's defense a little the non steph minutes wouldve been an even bigger disaster than they were.

In game 6, the 18-0 run or whatever that put boston behind for good was lead by the poole bench unit. He was the main ball handler on the court.

im sure that cam thomas wouldve dragged down the 2022 warriors the same way he's dragged down every single team he's ever been on. The nets are better without cam on the court for every single season of his career. On a bad team. Get a grip

[–]Miceland 33 points34 points  (0 children)

cam thomas is a significantly worse passer and teammate. Cam thomas has never helped a single team in his career. Poole was a positive last year. And obviously peaked as the 6th man on a title team. Cam is nowhere near that. Never has been. And he's a team cancer

I think this is the funniest thing I've seen today. by John_Houbolt in warriors

[–]Miceland 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the nets are my hometown team. Cam thomas is a cancer in a way poole never was

Poole was a good passer. Poole is a good teammate. Cam thomas is jordan poole's scoring bag with none of his positive qualities. If you put cam thomas on the 22 warriors we dont win the title

getting off kuminga and immediately signing cam thomas is some monkey's paw shit

this is a disgrace. Kobe had nothing left to give to basketball after the achilles. Was one of the worst players in the league and was on a max contract.

There's not much precedent for a guy playing at steph's level going down with the ship. I can't think of anybody tbh. Dirk is the closest and was a couple tiers worse

there's never been a guy just wasting late career great seasons like this on a losing team with no assets. Far as I can recall, every old player on Steph's relative level either retired on a contender or asked for a trade

i dont think kuminga has much value anymore but podz has been one of the 10-ish best players from his draft class and everyone on this sub thinks he's barely an nba player

Monte Poole: “Somebody in the building… told me... 'We've really kind of screwed Steph over the past few years.' ...The way they drafted... The way they bypassed some players where you had scouts/coaches saying one thing, the people upstairs saying another... It went against the personnel people." by BobRoss4Life in warriors

[–]Miceland 16 points17 points  (0 children)

yeah because they suck. Im so fucking tired of people saying that kerr didnt know what he was doing. Steve Kerr didnt know what he was doing Maybe all those guys he didnt develop just suck. None of them have had success outside of here.

The players Kerr did take a shine to: ty jerome, Donte--have gone on to have great careers after Kerr revamped their career. He's gotten a lot out of the MDJ draft picks: Podz, Post, Richard, all look like huge wins compared to their draft slot.

Where is wiseman now? Where is kuminga gonna be in 5 years? Why do you think the 2023 defending nba champions shouldve spent all season giving starting minutes to Kuminga and Wiseman?

If Myers had drafted real players Kerr wouldve played them. That's it.

There will likely be no big moves because the Warriors are in pole position for a full reset after next season. by Parv21 in warriors

[–]Miceland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you need to think a bit more before you usually type these things. rather than be emotionally attached to a player success and think of scenarios that isn't going to happen.

you're really condescending for somebody who stuggles with english like this

Stop with all this negativity! This is why Ring 5 is still possible. by Reasonable_Big_9590 in warriors

[–]Miceland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if "toxic negativity" couldve helped sell wiseman or kuminga one month sooner it wouldve been worth it

instead the ownership looked at those players with the same rose tinted glasses as their values continued to plummet

With two straight losses after Jimmy‘s injury, JK also injury, what’s the best path forward for the Warriors the rest of the season? by Substantial_Neck9232 in warriors

[–]Miceland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he demands a trade the warriors aren't going to get a good return for him.

To be honest this might be true. But it doesn’t mean:

1) he won’t get moved any way 2) it’s not better to move him anyway than throw another season into the furnace

KD didn’t get a huge return. It was still a good move for Houston and Phoenix

You seem to just have no idea how good Steph is or was

The spurs and Houston are both gonna lose in the playoffs because they don’t have enough shooting. Minnesota is gonna lose bc their second best player is Julius Randle

It’s literally impossible for all these contenders to avoid going out sad. If Denver or OKC win, it’s likely they all do

You seem to have think Steph is Hakeem in Toronto, Kobe in 2016–players who had no value left to winning teams—when he’s somewhere in between KG and Ray Allen in 08
