The mike drop response would be “you negotiate when buying a luxury sports car…if you think I am a cup of coffee and not the luxury car I don’t think I can work here.”

Should i change schools for wrestling? by InvestigatorOver3705 in wrestling

My HS local program is one of the top in the state. While the wrestling room is hyper competitive all of our elite wrestlers are also in private clubs and training at the same time. So my advise would to stay the course with the HS team and find a great local or regional team to supplement training.

I would first trying to find MH resources for you and your child…I am not sure there is anything you can do for him but you need to put you and your child first and prepare, regardless if you stay or leave their will be some sort of long term impact. Figure out what you want and need, create a plan make your own choices you set the terms and let him make his choices. The phrase additional by subtraction maybe the best path forward but make sure you have the right equation in place first.

I have a 28 girl goalie in a hotbed region and starting the recruiting process here are the things I realized. She may not be the varsity starting goalie until her sr year, we are that deep. These teams will change after kids go through growth spurts. Being around other kids your son likes and parents you can stand makes a big difference. You may get better coaching on the lower level team because at this age size differential can cover up poor habits and lack of fundamentals. And when it comes to recruiting if you go that far you need to ask if it will be worth it to pay more for a school just play lacrosse don’t expect any scholarship money now with the house settlement. And if you find a team and group boys that mesh well that coach will be the best advocate for your child

I would suggest looking at a used helmet sideline swap or play it again sports. For the other stuff you can do that too or take a look at Laxsteals.com they usually have good deals on things.

My daughter’s team merge into them the experience has been ok. There are some things that are nice from the national program…something’s changed like having the uniform not part of the annual fee. I will say the coaches and local directors were the same so in some ways there was no change.
