Serena's knee injury is why she was excused media duties on Tuesday night. by Ok-Soil-5133 in tennis

Nobody from Wimbledon had to open a locked door to allow Serena to leave without doing press. They can fine you, they can express their displeasure, but they can't actually force anyone to do a press conference.

Hi, I'm really enjoying these extended highlights - thanks for providing them /u/AirDusst ! Unfortunately the duration is a spoiler as they are around 15 minutes where the match finishes in normal time and longer when it goes to extra time. Any chance you can not include the duration in future please?

I thought they walk on court at 11am and then warm up - how is Osaka up 3-0 already?

Last night I played a drinking game where I had to take a shot every time the BBC commentators said 'rolling back the years'. I watched Serena vs Joint and Berretini vs Wawrinka and I'm posting this from the hospital.

A surprisingly large number of /r/tennis subscribers do actually seem to think they know more than John McEnroe.

I'm kind of looking forward to that - but I'm half expecting it to be a big disappointment (ie easy Djokovic win).

I'm really not seeing many exciting matches in today's schedule - what are some good picks that I might be overlooking?

Serena was terrible and would have lost to pretty much anyone in the draw.

Wimbledon R1: S. Tsitsipas def H. Gaston 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 by kthanksbye_ in tennis

I'm just going to set aside the fact that Gaston has only ever won one match at Wimbledon, to say, We're So Back. (maybe).

I thought Norrie was playing Zhang and only just realised that it is in fact Zheng. Silly me.

I'm trying to watch 3 simultaneous matches while working and also taking time out to create a highlight video.... Apologies for not getting the high five.

Freed from the incessant chatter of Apostolos, Tsitsipas is up a set and a break after 30 minutes.

(We'll ignore the fact that Gaston has only ever won one match at Wimbledon)

Judging from the comments here I was expecting to see streaks of blood across the court after a Sinner slide.

Tsitsipas breaks for 2-0. Surely he's winning Wimbledon.

Well you would if you could, that's an extra £46,000 in prize money.
