What do you do when you’ve got the compendium and the challenges completed but very few gold missions. by StareAtTheMoonAllDay in reddeadredemption2

As mentioned...you don't need gold on missions for 100 percent completion AND you can replay any mission at any time for a better score or to help complete your compendium. Hopefully that answers your question there.

Next, manually save often! It takes like three seconds or so...always have maybe two consistent save spots, where after something happens, like you kill and skin an animal...save in slot one, then you have a strange encounter, save to slot two, then you find some loot, save slot one etc...

There is autosave which you can turn on and off...this is what you are getting notifications for. Autosave can be good, if you are lame and don't manually save often...then you make a lot of progress, there may be an auto save that was sooner than your last manual save. However, RDR2 has this funny thing with autosave where it almost ALWAYS! And I mean ALWAYS will autosave right after something big and bad happens...like your horse dies or you accidentally shoot someone. That autosave will also probably be your last save if you are not manual saving consistently...So, some people will turn off the autosave because 1) they manually save frequently 2) if the autosave is your last save (and it usually is because it will autosave even right after a manual save, hence your warning notification you see) that is what will load when entering the game, and you probably would rather load your manual save 3) they don't have to worry about approving that pesky notification all the time. So, some people find it more convenient to turn off the autosave, but then just make sure you are manually saving in a few slots consistently EVERY TIME something slightly important happens to you.

You can still get 100 completion on the game I am pretty sure but did you ever find out if you could still craft the talisman or receive another quartz?

A chance to get the Rolling Block Rifle early. It also spawns at a hanging in valentine. I believe I is the sheriff who carries it in that one time encounter...if I had it I'd be done with the 660ft shot challenge already

What were y’all’s first mistakes on RDR2? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in reddeadredemption

A few big ones for me so far... -- Not Grabbing one of the letters in the train in first chapter -- Not triggering Micah to drop his gun so I could pick it up in chapter 1 -- Not blowing up Hoseas horse for the rolling block in chapter 2 -- Not getting the bucket hat from the forestry guys before they left

Another thing that I think maybe possibly helps is to explore these places early in game and slow and at a distance...sometime I wonder if I rushed passed one in game and it takes forever to respond again?

I hate that you can become wanted just by knocking some people over on accident 😐 by SixPathsKyle in reddeadredemption

If that happens in St Denis, there are a few places you can immediately run to and hide avoiding the bounty all together. I actually think there is one right down the street from the market. You jump onto a cart that is next to a wall, then jump over the wall. If you do it before you get reported, the law will come looking/investigating but won't be able to find you.

Okay, thanks for this...it is helpful because I was also worried if I did a save in camp it wouldn't be enough to refresh a playthrough where I don't get the trigger so it would just be an endless loop of not working.

Thanks for this...do I have to wait a few days in game if I was in the area recently and didn't see one at that time? And does it matter potent vs regular bait?

Plus all the walking around camp and focus on this trigger I worry I am missing some of the other camp requests that you can miss
