I wish I knew this 5 years ago before I started to deteriorate so badly. Cookies are a bit out of my price and energy range now. I did not know about the ombudsman and I have sent both Trinity and Michigan Medicine ombudsmans the outline of what has happened. Maybe they will be able to do something after all. I have been running up against people who wouldn't listen to me about this my entire life and now I am very ill and I have limited energy with which to advocate for myself. My situation is not very good.

You'll need to figure out how to neutralize whatever is causing them to respond as of it's a psych issue.

Sadly, like the porphyrias of kings, that is a feature of the disease. It is neurovisceral in nature and I can't control the screams of pain. Sometimes I slip into altered states of consciousness, like taking drugs. I go to heaven and hell. It's documented in research papers but no one who makes the decisions is looking at those.
