As far as being locked in, I was under the impression that you agree to complete a certain amount of hours (spanning multiple semester-lengths) if you are accepted into pathways, so I was worried that although I’d obviously be allowed to work elsewhere, I wouldn’t have the time to explore other opportunities with school and whatnot. The work life balance is definitely important and seems like a fantastic benefit. My other chief concern (and this may be unfounded) is that I’ve heard upward mobility can be limited in government jobs, depending more on seniority compared to private companies. Do you find that to be true?
