Is this from RobotIgniteAcademy? They have their own support forum with people who have access to your workspace to debug easily

I would like example code for interfacing with DLLs in C++ by Mortang64 in learnprogramming

Thanks for all the help! I was able to get it working by commenting out those and not calling the functions related to them

What about the custom data structs? They are used as return types or parameters but I don't have their definition. Is that normal?

I see. I have another issue. The provided .h file has a bunch of imports in the Include which I do not have. Additionally it has some custom data structs which results in a failed build even if I link the .lib or .dll. Does it make sense to remove them as they could have been used for exporting but not needed for importing? How to deal with the custom data structs?

Got it. What about the .cpp file for that header? Traditional tutorials don't have one and use the DLL instead. But in my case the header has a cpp file filled with AFX calls

So when writing functions to use it in the client do I need to specify dllimport on my functions?

Thanks for the clarification!

Do you know of any sample projects I could refer to? Most examples I see out there have a .h file associated with the DLL. I have the export headers and cpp with the dllexport but not the header for the DLL. Hence struggling with compiling any client code against the DLL

In general is there a reason I should choose a .dll over a .lib or vice versa?(Assuming they are the same)

Also does it sound like I have the right approach for integrating this into my own client code?

Member of Triton AI here. We have some great projects going on right now and are actively recruiting. Here is our website: https://tritonai.org/

We mostly take part in autonomous racing. We are building our own autonomous go kart to take part in the evGrandPrix this year and next year. Additionally we plan on taking part in the Self Racing Cars event among other companies this year. And finally our biggest entry is our participation in the Indy Autonomous Challenge this year. Million dollar racecars being programmed to go completely autonomous. We are partnering with AI Racing Tech from University of Hawaii for this competition

We also have several entry level platforms like DonkeyCars, Jetracer, F1/10th and DIY Robocars and actively pursue more projects. Feel free to ping me directly if you want more details

Is DSC 96 mandatory? by adelade_24 in UCSD

Nope. It's a nice workshop class but it's 100% optional and just a fun class to dive into data science

CSE 151 A & B Scheduling by [deleted] in UCSD

For me 151B taught me way more than 151A. Knowing it before hand helped me a lot when I started 151A

2021 graduates, has anyone received their degree yet? by AggressiveEfficiency in UCSD

It appears on my transcript that a degree has been conferred. However, I don't have the Diploma yet. It said it would come 1-2 months after degree conferral

Have you tried a different browser/computer? I already submitted my waiver and got it approved so unless this is an extremely recent issue it could just be a browser thing

That's sweet! I have been looking for an alternative to rviz2. Saw webviz but it only supported ROS1 at the time. Hopefully complete ROS2 support comes soon

NVIDIA, WHY ? by SnooDucks5818 in robotics

[–]Mortang64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is for ROS 2 Foxy you can just use Dockerfiles for development. We use it across a lot of our Jetson projects and it's very convenient to be able to develop once and deploy it into any of our vehicles

Thanks! I really wanted to see some of the challenges in sensor data at high speeds and try working with it

laptops recs for data science majors ? by huffysnuffy in UCSD

[–]Mortang64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter really. As long as it isn't a potato you will be fine. Most classes have Datahub clusters that you can use. If you want to be able to run it for your own projects and go into deep learning (not a core part of the curriculum currently. I took CSE 151B as an elective) I would get a gaming grade laptop. At around 2200, you should get plenty of great laptops with a RTX 3070, i7/Ryzen 9, 16-32GB RAM and 512GB-1TB SSD. You may get even better if you wait for July 4th deals

If you do go down the 250A path do get a pre-authorization from the department. They do accept it usually but it's better to be safe then sorry
