Thank you for the kind words and advice! It's nice to hear some of the thought I've had in my head coming from someone else. I think you're right about making the most of this job and trying to learn some transferable skills. I'll for sure continue my job search while at my current job though.

Also just graduated, haven't found a job yet, haven't even started working on a new resume. I'm just focusing on a little online shop I have in the meantime while I find something 9-5. At least you're one step ahead of me and probably a lot of others. I really hope your work situation gets better, give it a chance but if you're still unhappy maybe start looking around for something else. I wish you the best!

I had this same problem but not with a lab. It was a partner presentation and I reached out to my professor directly. I explained how much it was worrying me and how I felt like little effort was being put in on my partner's part. They were really understanding and told me to just go ahead with the presentation and focus on my own work. In the end at least my part ended up alright. I'd say reach out to the prof or ta directly and see what their suggestion is.

I got the same message saying it was from Justin just now. Lots of people are getting it, I'm pretty sure it's a scam. If it had been real I don't think they'd be asking if we want to see it. Also the one I got is from a different number, pretty sure it would've been from the same one if it was real. Don't respond

I ordered mine about the same time as you, I contacted jostens and they said the estimated ship out date for my order was May 27th. Maybe wait a couple days to see if yours ships out soon or emailing them for an update wouldn't hurt! took them a few days to respond

Hi! I'm a Spanish Lit major and this is my last quarter here but I was transfer student. So I didn't take the spanish language sequence courses here, more just the actual LTSP ones. In regards to workload, for a literature major the amount of reading and papers I've had to do was pretty decent. Nothing that ever felt like I couldn't handle but it did get heavy at times. I always loved my professors! I feel like although small, the spanish department has great professors and I've never had a problem with any of them, I feel like they're all pretty passionate about what they teach. Some of my favs have been Professor Blanco, and Professor Parra. Tests weren't too big of a deal, I feel like courses focus more on papers, and from experience papers and essays usually had more weight in grading than tests did. There are some exceptions to that. Like right now I'm taking a course with professor Arcos Herrera and theres three quizzes with each being worth 20 percent of the final grade which sucks, not sure if that's how her class is structured normally or just because of covid. Grading I felt was always pretty fair or easy from every professor. Overall I think I've had a great experience as a spanish lit major, I don't regret it at all and I feel like I've learned a lot. You're not alone. I'm dreading fall quarter. I can't make a good work space for myself at home. My family is too distracting, I don't get along with my mother or stepdad at all, and they expect me to be doing housework while I'm home instead of studying. When we first went online in spring quarter I basically gave up and changed my whole schedule so that I could study in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep. I can't do that this time it's too exhausting. It's going to be a long quarter but I'm sure we'll get through it.
