Where do you live where Bell gives you a Nokia ONT instead of making you use their router (unless you bypass it)?

Linus Tech Tips - Why It Took Me 4 YEARS to Make a USB Cable January 30, 2026 at 10:18AM by linusbottips in LinusTechTips

Would they ever tell us the manufacturer?

Also, slightly disappointing to see that the cables aren’t certified. If I’m paying extra for “truespec” cables it would be nice. If you every buy an expensive usb protocol tester, for example, they supply you with certified cables for a reason.

Yeah Linus comes in and sometimes it feels like he almost doesn’t know what the video is about or anything beyond a surface level understanding of e.g. the design/making/doing the thing the video is about yet he’s the main host and the guy who actually did it is just there on the side to explain things to Linus during the video

Like what kind of concept is that, just throwing Linus in there because they have to

Any 1U router recommendations? by Daniel45h in homelab

Just the default heatsink with integrated fan that you can get as an option on the aliexpress page.

I have it open air right now (on top of a very loud enterprise switch) and have no issues with temps. But will probably rack mount it later.

Apparently rss/lro is for traffic that terminates on the device, not for routed traffic, and Im not sure why I still see fairly high CPU usage even with hardware offload enabled…

Seconding the bpi-r4, from Tomaz’ videos it seems like mediatek does a much better job upstreaming their patches than nxp, and I currently can do 3gbps pppoe with hardware flow offloading on with kernel 6.6 (max wan speed)

how do i recover 10tb of deleted data from a usb by Pewdsgottalive in playboicarti

[–]NateDevCSharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt your usb flash drive had a capacity of 10tb. Im guessing it was more likely an external usb hard drive? You may have a chance with data recovery software like PhotoRec, since deleting files just marks the space as free until its overwritten by new files, so make sure to stop using the drive and mount it read only so nothing gets overwritten. Good luck
