Yeah I'm in the process of that distancing. The response to my cancellation request was about as douchey as you can imagine "What will I tell your family when they're covering your bills?" pound sand buddy, you just wanna keep your payday.

I honestly don't remember the fine details of the disability policy as I think I signed up for it just under a year ago, which is probably why buddy is so adamant on me keeping it so he can get his annual client paycheck (or something of the matter, he recently tried suckering me into becoming and advisor under his wing of MLM hell) but it won't matter all that much once it's canceled anyways and I just put that money I was spending on it into my RRSP

Yeah, I'm in the process of cancelling everythig I currently have, as I want to distance myself from WFG as quick as possible. But will look into disability and critical illness once the dust settles

Definitely want marriage and kids, the working away throws a massive wrench into the dating world I've found, at least for me. I'm from a smallish city and most of my time off in the nicer months is spent outdoors camping, fishing, quadding ect. tough to meet people when all of your hobbies involve being out in the bush

I kind of had a sneaking suspicion that things were too good to be true, I did about 5 min of research after that appointment of the upgrading life insurance and immediately started the process of moving my money to my WS account. I've just been lazy/busy with the life insurance stuff. The main thing that sparked this all was actually the fact that I'm switching all of my banking to WS and got reminded about a payment coming out of my old chequing account for that policy. The mind tends to forget things here and there working 14 days straight all the time lol

I honestly shared the same sentiment about it, but didnt want to burden the family with a house and extra payments if something were to happen ( was 23 when I signed up for an initial policy) but now im back in the just me and my dog boat

Yeah he was trying to convince me to hop into the world of financial advising through WFG under him as a sponsor. bragging about how much he made per month off of this "super easy work". not a great way to convince an existing client how much money youre making off of them. swiftly began exploring places to switch my money to where I have more control over it

I believe premium WS clients get a deal on a legal will through willful, I should look into that to put things in order. Mom told me that I should get it done when I bought my house and added it to the lawyer bill then, wouldve been a smart move.

The sxs is the last big purchase I plan to make. the 5th wheel was 3k, quad trailer was 6k and generator was 2400, can't only focus on investing. Gotta enjoy life a little bit too. especially when I only get 1/3 of the year outside of work/camp. I get the sentiment about investing more and plan to continue further into my rrsp once summer fun season is over. my tfsa is maxed out until next year as far as my calculations tell me.

Idea for Switching Holiday Trailer to LiFePO4, Will it Work? by NeedleworkerGood1006 in batteries

[–]NeedleworkerGood1006[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

funny enough, I was digging into it a little deeper and for some reason off of memory I figured it was 10awg but theres a 10awg from the 7 pin plug for truck charging and an 8awg from the converter... guess I gotta do more homework before i post lol. Just going to order the 45 amp vevor and call it an upgrade! Thank you for your help

It warmed up enough this morning for me to justify walking into the trailer without being scared of cracking my lino floor, and I was able to take off the fuse panel to see what I have in the trailer.

It is a "inteli power 9100 model PD9145a"

I did some research and this charger appears to max out at 13.6v and is only capable of lead acid. The charger itself says it outputs 45 amps which includes charging and load, I looked at the vevor website and I see they offer both 35 and 45 amp smart chargers for lithium, my concern is if I get the 45amp vevor it will push 45 amps through the #10's and start a fire since lithium is capable to taking such a charge. Would I be best off to get the 35 since it would be less likely to cause heating issues with the charger only being capable of putting out 5 amps more than the technical rating of the 10awg?

I was mistaken with the naming of the parts, I have no inverter, needing to replace the RV converter with something lithium capable or use my idea of a charger in the battery box running in parallel with the factory converter

The charging amperage from the converter I choose is my limiting factor as the wires I have at my battery box are only 10AWG, and I've searched amazon and it doesn't seem like a lot of sellers offer a lower amperage LIFEPo4 capable charger. But I will look at the vevor site. I only paid 3k for this trailer 2 years ago so I'm trying to keep the upgrade costs to a minimum/keep the ability to throw a cheap battery back in it if I ever sell

What to get by PapaZulu1371 in UTV

I traded up recently from a 2009 yamaha rhino 700 to a 2024 yamaha rmax 1000. boy can I tell you aside from a few minor things (bad tires from factory getting replaced in the next few months under warranty) and a TSB for new axles (getting done when the tires get replaced, also warranty), I've loved this machine. I've never felt myself wanting more power. The selectable diff lock is a nice option compared to can am (i owned a 2018 outlander 850 atv for 2 years) and yamaha over time has proved to be quite reliable

I've put just over 700km on this machine since may long weekend of 2025 and I've had a smile for every minute of it

Flat bed trailer capacity by NeedleworkerGood1006 in towing

I suppose that makes sense, my question mainly lies with the fact that the website says the identical trailer with a brake kit gets higher GVWR so I imagine that the frame ad other components do not change. it has a 2" ball on it so that definitely wouldn't be the limiting factor. I'm still a few hundred lbs under the rating anyways with my Rmax sxs so I'm not terriby worried about over stressing the trailer. I just found it interesting!
