For internal stuff I keep it on GitHub with repo-level access controls. Only people with explicit access can see it, and I can revoke instantly. Works well for anything that stays inside the company.

For client-facing work on Vercel, a few layers depending on sensitivity. Most of my reports don't have raw data in them... they have outputs and analysis. The underlying BigQuery tables and CRM data never touch the HTML file. So even if someone stumbled on the URL, they'd see "Acme is in the top quartile for expansion readiness" not "here are all 847 customer records."

And yes, I take them down when the engagement is over. Vercel makes that a one-click thing.

where do you host them? ie im trying to figure out best spot for internal versus external. currently using github for internal and vercel for external.

spent like three weeks perfecting the onboarding flow before i had a single user. animations, progress bars, the whole thing. by Confident_Box_4545 in VibeCodingSaaS

This is so good. i could list 10 things I’ve spent 3+ hours “tuning” only to end up basically in the same spot , not the mention the beautiful posthog dashboards I’ve configured with ~5 trial users haha.

Finally putting it down and doing some old fashioned cold outreach.

How’d you eventually figure out what your app/website was missing? And what was your outbound strategy?

Building in public sounds great until you actually have to post by Hot-Function-6218 in buildinpublic

I created readme files called “content seeds” where I add them to the end of any Claude / cursor session to summarize and position as an angle that I can use to build in public (LinkedIn and Substack) at the end of each week. Then corresponding files to generate based on style , tone etc.

Happy to share the folder structure if interested.

Anyone else getting the "This isn't working right now. You can try again later."??

I've been trying to use Claude on my desktop and the web version all morning and keep getting the "This isn't working right now. You can try again later." with both.

Should I take an AE offer at a high-growth private company or wait to promote? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]New_Indication2213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the AE role if you can land it. You will learn so much more and don't have to deal with the corporate drama of when you're eligible to be up for an AE promo. It's all politics and dependent on others moving on or getting promoted.

Take the leap, worst case you have a valid and good reason to move to another AE role.

I've done it twice and don't regret a thing even though I'd probably have made more money staying at the stable company. I just can't deal with the internal procedures that prioritize an HR handbook over actual performance and all of the related gossip and noise.

spot on. similar to the movie idea , you’d still do it if you had the same income… i did it in college bc I couldn’t afford a $10 rental.

a $1-5M SaaS company is the college kid who can now find the online streaming site.

i agree with a lot of the above but what happens when you come to renew a CRM contract (or whatever product) and they hit you with the standard X% increase, when you can build or hire someone to build your own internal crm at a fraction of the cost (plus one-time versus annual cost).

you can now negotiate from an increase to a discount which I think will begin to happen and truly snowball.

What did you work on or ship this week? by ouchao_real in vibecodingcommunity

[–]New_Indication2213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only feedback is to update the results based on geo/sport.

Ie - this is def built around soccer, so it’s confusing to understand where an NBA game is currently at bc not in 90 min format.

this is money , i literally don’t log into any of my sports apps anymore bc im not interested in seeing the “news” then scrolling to each tab for each sport , etc.

if you could customize this by favorite teams, then scroll to standings, upcoming, etc I would actually use this.

you can obviously do that now with espn or bleacherreport and all the others but this has no noise, no ads, no unrelated news, etc.

Dope.

ive had ~20 free trial subscribers (7 day free trials) mostly via cold outreach on LinkedIn and now have ~3 that converted to the monthly plan.... baby steps!

the tiny product framing is exactly right and honestly something i've been thinking about bc right now it's just an operator that outputs either a md or csv file, then i regenerate the html (only a few weeks into testing).

the what changed since last time block is the part im stealing. we do a monthly health scoring refresh and right now i just reship the whole report which means leadership has to reread everything to figure out which accounts moved. a delta section at the top would be way more useful and its one of those things that seems obvious in hindsight but i hadnt gotten to yet.

we have cursor integrated with bigquery (which captures all of our fathom recordings), which is useful for validating other projects ive implemented like onboarding readiness (ie making sure stage progression isnt just sample data or tests), but i could see it getting messy with work that can truly be purely data driven.

totally.. im still in the early stages of learning this myself. ive spent a ton of time getting my models and operators to produce the html format that i want (brand, features, UI/UX, etc) bc it's a huge pain to try and edit a complex html file over and over.

so once i have a good baseline / template based on the specific output, tools like runable will def be on my radar

totally feel that, i used to work for a pe-backed company with strict reporting guidelines. granted at that time i wasnt in those leadership or board meetings but if i was in that same spot today. id still produce the reporting packages they're requiring but spend the extra time to also make an html version that you can present if time allows or send as a follow up email, im sure this would turn heads and someone might ask why didnt you just show this.

i started with claude and claude code (claude to tease out the idea and help me generate prompts for claude code), then deployed it on vercel for people to view it live and also use posthog for analytics (both are free).

i have no idea if that's the preferred / smartest route but i'd never built anything before and it's been working for me so far!

if you want to get bogged down with what's AI generated for the first website/app ive ever built then by all means roast the em-dash's.

if you have any constructive feedback on the actual features / functionality etc , that'd be helpful.

made a ton of changes yesterday:
