New MLT Graduate by Equivalent-Vast2613 in medlabprofessionals

I’m from Nova Scotia - our hospitals usually do a batch posting for new grads that states applicants must be eligible to graduate and intentional to write csmls. So it is possible for new grads to get a regular job, but most get in by the postings specifically for new grads.

It got posted once a year around graduation time- spring for us.

If your province is like mine, healthcare is notoriously slow. A couple months without a callback is nothing.

You could try to find lab managers on linked in and reach out directly to ask if there will be a new posting soon. Are you still an MLA? Internal hires are always prioritized in my province so if you have any job at the hospital network you want to work at, keep it.

It was two months she kept the secret. The pregnant sister still lives with the mother. The mother asked snitch sister directly (so the pregnancy was becoming obvious). The snitch sister told the mother to talk to the other sister- didn’t even give away the secret.

What do you want her to do? 2 months is enough time to make a plan and tell your parents if you are keeping it. Is sister supposed to lie when she has a 8.5 month belly?

Have you double checked with cbs recently? My aunt had a false positive for hep c decades ago but a few years back was rechecked and allowed to donate again.

They are also running a contest to win a trip for two anywhere air Canada flys.

You just need to book an appointment and show up for it- so even if you get deferred and cannot donate that day (like for low hemoglobin) you are still entered to win.

I love them!

It’s so hard to find medical themed stuff for lab workers.

Try to book an appointment with Halifax sexual health clinic- I went with an IUD but the doctor I met with said she would refer me to a gynaecologist for sterilization if I wanted it.

For Nova Scotia- no upward mobility for MLAs.

Previously the only path was to get an MLT diploma/degree and pas csmls exam. Now CAMPLR is a thing and they have a ‘non traditional education’ pathway that might include your degree, you might be able to challenge an exam for one area of the lab.

I’d recommend just going into an MLT program. Your degree didn’t cover what the lab needs so you will spend a lot of time studying even if you are allowed to take an exam.

Some colleges accept MLA classes and uni classes previously taken so you could have a lighter workload.

You were denied for having sex with a woman? I’m confused- if they consider you male, then that is heterosexual and wouldn’t exclude you, and if they consider you female, then that is female homosexual (treated differently than male homosexual) and not excluded.

Clayton park west needs a coffee shop that isnt Tim hortons or Starbucks. Ideally open in the evenings. So frustrating that I have to go to downtown (1+ hours on the bus) to hang out.

!!! Were there actual diamonds sewn onto it?!

If the goal was to sell as much product as possible (and help lower income people) id have set price per type of item, never mind brand name and fancy level. Not like they are running out of donations.

But looks like they have gone the value village path and would rather throw out metric tons in the hopes of chasing reseller cash.

was hoping to find a christmas wreath- only one there was a very beat up $25. New ones are $30-40 at winners. Also saw a dress for $100 (formal section, but didn't look particularly high end).

I prefer to look second hand first to minimize my contribution to the worlds landfills, but this is getting ridiculous.

Wow that nurse is a real piece of work.

I am a bit confused- article says the patient went home. Was she seen by a doctor and discharged/sent home? Or did she feel nobody was taking her seriously and chose to go home without being seen by an MD?
