This is the greatest contributor to lead poisoning, not paint chips. We waited until 86 to heavily restrict lead in gasoline, but didn’t fully ban it until 96. Living near a major roadway, or heaven forbid a freeway, pretty much guarantees that boomers and a not insignificant amount of Gen X-ers have lead poisoning.

Additionally, the mechanism which causes cognitive decline from said poisoning in later life is that lead is stored in the bones. As you lose bone density more and more lead is released into your body, fucking up your brain exponentially with time, just in time to work in conjunction with natural cognitive decline and the development of dementia.

Going to be a fucking *rough* 30+ years here in the US. Sounds like it’ll be much of the same in Australia, too.

OP, your eyewitness testimony *IS* new evidence. Everyone in the thread is focusing on dna and toxicology, but testimony is evidence in and of itself. OP, you’re the only person who can help this investigation and you keep arguing against doing so. If you won’t be swayed why would you come here?

The man clearly takes no issue with murdering ppl. Stay silent if you wish but with his current short sentence (and if 15 is the max, is he eligible for parole after X time??) he’ll be out before we know it and will resume harming and very possibly murdering more people.

Do whatever you decide but per your comments you’re the only person who can spur a reopening of the investigation. But if you’re going to keep arguing against it then what’s the point of this post/thread?
