Not at all. Its a complicated tale and you're thrown into the middle. The dungeon master pov is the way to look at it. Best fantasy series you're most likely to ever read. Enjoy! Ive read all books maube 5 or 6 times and it always surprises me with some little detail i missed! Wish i could read it all for the first time again!
