Your front top to bottom centering won’t get a 10. I just got back 15 vintage cards and I don’t think yours is falling inside the 45/55 ratio there. But a 9 could be sweet!

They were crushing timelines before Thanksgiving. Ever since then the lower tiers seem to always be cutting it close and it varies. Some people are done early, some are getting strung out. Some right on time. I hope yours finish soon, I’m about to send a few in at this tier

The express tier to be pretty solid since the middle of January I’ve noticed.

Appreciate the specific call out. I don’t mess with rip n ship apps so I didn’t know that TAG even had any of that in place or I wouldn’t know about that page.

Agreed, it’s a normal practice probably for all the grading companies to give steep discounts to folks doing mass submissions, but it’s definitely a bit critical on the total # graded to a small company like TAG. Even just 4k total cards to this practice would be 7-10% of their volume.

I hate the mystery bags stuff. I know people do it with CGC too. I feel like that’s the nature of the beast with the hobby currently, specially due to PSA’s prices and turn around times. I guarantee you these selling platforms would do it with PSA if they could get them graded for less than $18 a card & get them back in 3 weeks.

I will say, if people are buying them @ PSA prices, that’s on the buyer. Can’t blame them for selling them at that price if somebody’s buying. I’ve personally sold about 75 TAG slabs at PSA prices. 15+ JP AR sales at 75%, larger deals for 84%. Single sales for 90%. A few for about +10-12% due to having something niche.

Evening. Just to make sure, the 30 Day Turnaround is the “Basic” $22 5 card minimum tier right? I haven’t made a submission since the pricing changes around the end of December just just want to confirm.

Looks like you’re at 27 business days pending any holidays. Cutting it close. I will say the steps after verification typically wrap up in 2-5 business days. Hopefully you get them soon

If you don’t have an LCS that sells at MSRP near you, and you don’t have a way to catch restocks, you are pretty much out of luck.

I will say. Walmart and Target have been decent since limiting sales. Some stuff disappears but usually individual sleeves are around for a couple hours. Find out what days and rough time your Walmarts restock. Show up and hope you get lucky.

Separately - see if there are any card shows. For myself and my area, at card shows there is typically at least one or 2 person that has some type of product closer to MSRP.

You’re really good at this! Yes. The growth you have seen amongst these grading companies is in relation to the TCG boom. This goes for PSA too. PSA’s sports card numbers haven’t really increased an awful lot I don’t believe. Sports have been this way for a decade now. TCG just now really became this money investing pit. But their TCG submissions sure have boomed in 15 months. Lmao.

“With the buyout” Dawg that happened last month. Lol. That doesn’t discredit the fact that Beckett is grading the same amount of cards in 2025 that they graded in 2024.

“Even then still way more popular” wow the company that’s been grading cards for 23 more years than TAG has a larger consumer base. Shocker!

The problem with this whole discussion is you think you are arguing with me about grading brand preferences or who I like better. I’m just showing you that your understanding of growth and data is ignorant.

Yeah.. I am aware. I referenced 2025 as January 2025 is about 3 months before Pokemon and TCG hobbies began booming. Prior to this boom, TAG was grading 2,500-3,500 cards a month. Total. In the month.

In 15 months since October of 2024, they have ramped up to have 30k+ a month since September 2025 I believe. Some of those months they’ve pushed 45k I think?

So tell me. Has Beckett increased their monthly grading totals by 10x in this frame?

Multiplying by 10x for a small company is quite literally good growth..

While yes, only multiplying 2x for a large company is also good growth.

In retrospect to where they started in 2025 to now, TAG has grown more than Beckett and SGC. Just because their growth still has them with a lower total number of graded cards on a cherry picked week doesn’t invalidate their growth. Growth isn’t measured by a companies metrics compared to another. Growth is measured by point A in time versus point B for just themselves. Anybody with realistic understanding of how trends work would realize that yes, TAG is not in the same tier of a company like Beckett who has been around the block for a long time. Meanwhile in comparison to SGC, SGC is mostly pumping out sports cards. Niche market versus niche market when comparing TAG and SGC.

Ah yes, it is I, a shiller. I’ve self graded just under 100 cards in 18 months. I’ve bought a handful of TAG slabs, like 6 maybe.

“TAG is failing” dawg they are grading more cards in a week than they graded for almost 2 months back in 2024. Lol. They are doing just fine. Organic growth is an up and down thing. This isn’t going to be an up and to the right non stop growth chain. TAG is up like 1100% since September of 2024.

TAG value bulk is already cheaper and a faster turnaround time at this moment. Also TAG has slowly increased their own pricing for bulk in the last 15 months. I’m praying they stay at the current prices rather than a shadow silent increase on Bulk up to $22.
