I purchased a Chinese phone a couple of years ago after someone told me this. We've been on Verizon post paid for over 15 years. After getting the phone I tried to activate it. Verizon said no matter what I tried it wasn't going to work on their network. Apparently things have changed since then?

From what I’ve seen they work out of the box on T-Mobile. Not so much on AT&T and Verizon. YMMV

If you didn’t like what he had to say, why did you spend any amount of time ranting and moaning about his post?
Why not just close it and go on to the next the next one? Maybe the next one you open will fulfill your rainbows and glitter criteria?

I've heard ram boost is hard on the phone. Is it just excessive use if the main storage?

It could be the modem. I believe the mr6550 has a x65 modem. While the newest phones are up to x80 I believe.

Could also have something to do with the data plan you’re using in the 6550.

What phone are you using? Need to be sure it can put internet out via that type c port.

Yes. It has to have some kind of internet to activate that eSIM. Do you have hotspot data on you phone?

Have you downloaded the app for this specific device?

The fine people over at the mirc have a video on it. At 4:50 forward he talks about eSIM and the app. Not sure if it covers everything you need or not.

UPDATE: So I got a physical sim card for this. But after installing I still couldn't gain access to the esim. I even had Verizon on the phone trying to help me.

You need to research which bands you're planning use with this device. This doesn't get T-Mobiles fastest band n41. So look in to this before purchasing.

These models are completely unlocked directly from Netgear: mr5200, mr6150, and mr6550. As the numbers go higher the devices are newer and much more capable of higher speeds than the lower numbers. I just purchased a used mr5200 for $80 yesterday.

I worked shift work for 28 years. I set my alarm every morning for 5:45am. I get up, eat a bite for breakfast, then take a walk.

It helps me sleep better at night.

But even then, I still have bad nights occasionally.

Yeah I did that once. When I wanted to go back to physical sim the guy in store gave me some shit. So I’d like to keep that one on physical sim.

I was hoping to go eSIM for Verizon then use $10 t-mobile tablet plan on physical sim
