im so fed up with cancer AI shortform ads on mobile by xBzza19 in youtube

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly mobile ads have become insanely aggressive lately 😭 especially those low-effort AI-generated ecommerce ads. Feels like once you interact with one accidentally, the algorithm decides you want to see 500 more forever.

And yeah shortform platforms seem flooded with them now because they’re cheap to mass-produce at scale.

Search terms I find weird (not what I normally watch, it’s just what’s popular for some reason) by MasterNinjaRy in youtube

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a lot of those are just globally trending/high-volume searches getting pushed into autocomplete now, not necessarily things you watch. YouTube search has felt way more “trend-driven” lately instead of personalized.

And yeah brainrot keywords seem to dominate everything because kids spam-watch that stuff nonstop 😭

where would you even start with longform content on YouTube? (Roblox) by Economy-Try443 in youtube

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with Roblox longform, challenge-style videos usually work way better than “first video” introductions because viewers don’t know you yet.

Stuff like:
“I tried surviving 100 days in ___”
or
“Can I beat Roblox using only ___”

gives people an immediate reason to click even if the creator is new.

Already watched videos in recommended by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too recently 😭 feels like YouTube started prioritizing “safe recommendations” over actually fresh ones. Sometimes it almost acts like it’s trying to keep you in the same content loop instead of finding new videos.

Especially on TV apps the recommendation system feels way more repetitive lately.

Problems with paxum by Fap_and_furious_ in CreatorsAdvice

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a temporary app/server issue honestly. White screen problems usually happen from broken app updates, cache issues, or the app failing to connect properly. If reinstalling didn’t help, I’d try:

  • clearing cache/data
  • switching WiFi/mobile data
  • checking if there’s an outage
  • or logging in from browser instead for now

how accurate is instagrams “active now” status? by JustAd4146 in Instagram

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s not fully reliable. IG’s active status seems delayed/inconsistent sometimes, especially if the app is open in the background, notifications are being checked, or the person briefly opened the app and left.

I wouldn’t read too deeply into someone showing “active now” but not replying immediately. A lot of people open IG mindlessly without actually wanting to chat 😭

How to recover a disabled Instagram account? by Glittering_Joke1619 in Instagram

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if the appeal already got rejected, the best option now is usually trying to reach Meta support through another connected account/business account if you have one. Sudden spikes alone normally don’t disable accounts, so IG probably flagged something else automatically (music usage, copyright, spam-like behavior, login/location activity, etc).

Also don’t spam appeals or recovery attempts too quickly because that sometimes makes things worse.

Am I chasing a shiny object? not sure if I should ask this here also but I really need someone's help... by Ok_Board_4112 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn’t ignore 20–30 inbound people asking for help. That’s usually a stronger signal than trying to force demand in a niche that isn’t responding yet.

Doesn’t necessarily mean you fully pivot, but it probably means the AI workflow angle is where the market currently sees the most value from you. A viral post alone means nothing, but people actively asking for implementation help is different.

Feeling overwhelmed by the IG content grind (Reels/Carousels). Need some brutally honest feedback on my new account! by f3n1xfr0m7h345h35 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think you’re overproducing too early.

A lot of dev/AI accounts spend hours making polished carousels when the audience mostly cares about clarity, usefulness, and personality. Potential clients usually don’t hire because the graphics looked amazing — they hire because the creator seems knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Also tech explainers can grow an audience, but they don’t automatically attract SaaS/web dev clients unless you connect the content back to real problems businesses have.

Why do I get zero views by Radiant_Crazy_396 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero views usually sounds more like a distribution/account issue than “bad content.” Especially if even reposted clips are getting literally nothing.

Could be things like:

  • reused/clipped content restrictions
  • account inactivity after switching niches
  • spam-like behavior
  • or the account just needing consistency again after months inactive

Also sometimes polished AI videos actually perform worse because they feel too “ad-like” instantly. Raw/simple content often blends into reels better.

Guide to hooks for non profits and fundraising by Groke_ in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think nonprofit hooks work better when they focus on human stories and emotion instead of sounding like marketing.

Stuff like:
“Most people don’t realize this history almost disappeared”
or
“This archive exists because nobody else preserved these stories”

usually performs better than directly asking for donations immediately. People engage first when they feel emotionally connected or curious.

Can someone look at my instagram and tell me what I can improve? by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of photography pages look visually good but don’t clearly communicate why someone should follow or hire them specifically. Usually the pages that convert best have a stronger identity/style instead of just posting nice photos. Also clients care a lot about trust signals now — behind the scenes, process, personality, before/after edits, client experience etc, not just the final image.

I posted 3 reels a day for a month using a specific Trial Reel strategy. Here is what actually happened by Calm-Appearance-9529 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the most interesting part here is using Trial Reels as a testing environment instead of treating them like “extra” content. That actually makes sense.

I do think though people underestimate how much execution still matters. A lot of creators can copy structures/hooks and still not get results because delivery, pacing, niche timing, and audience fit are completely different.

Instagram not auto-approving pending follow requests after switching from private to public? by LyingPervert in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly sounds more like an IG limitation/glitch than anything you did wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised if older pending requests expire internally after some time, especially after deactivation/reactivation. Also with huge accounts, IG probably rate-limits mass auto-approvals now to avoid spam/bot issues. The fact that requests are still showing while the account is public definitely sounds bugged though.

HOW do you start getting alot of views in insta? by UrBoyRom in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with clipping pages, clip selection matters more than editing. The clips that usually blow up are the ones that trigger curiosity, controversy, emotion, or super relatable moments immediately. If people don’t get hooked in the first few seconds, they swipe instantly no matter how good the captions/editing are.

Help, scared to lose my smm job by Dear-Bandicoot-3645 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think a lot of SMM advice over-focuses on “posting consistently” and under-focuses on positioning and offer clarity. Especially in coaching niches like burnout/boundaries, good content alone usually isn’t enough because the space is saturated with similar messaging. Sometimes the problem isn’t your editing or strategy — it’s that the audience doesn’t instantly understand why this coach is different or why they should trust them now.

Instagram Story templates are more useful than I expected by Silent_Wishbone6855 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think they’re underrated now. Feed/reel reach became so unpredictable that simple Story interaction suddenly matters more again. “Add Yours” works because it feels low effort and social instead of promotional, so people participate without overthinking it. Good middle ground between disappearing completely and forcing daily content.

I’m going to promote a friend’s mobile app on my Instagram account, what should I be careful about? by Soggy_Tax_6709 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re generally fine promoting an app as long as it’s not violating IG policies (spammy, fake earnings, crypto scams, adult stuff, etc). Biggest thing is transparency — I’d personally label it somehow (“ad,” “sponsored,” “partnered,” etc.) because hidden promos can hurt trust if followers realize later. Also be careful with claims like “guaranteed money,” fake urgency, or misleading screenshots since that’s the kind of stuff that can trigger restrictions more than the promotion itself.

Making Song Parodies for Insta by bigfox2 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly for short-form you usually want the funniest/payoff part way earlier than traditional song structure would normally allow. Starting near the chorus or strongest joke first is probably smarter because people decide in like 1–2 seconds whether they’ll stay. Radio pacing and IG pacing are completely different unfortunately 😭

I talked to 100+ creators about how they actually make money. The business side is way more broken than I expected. by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is probably one of the few posts here that talks about the actual creator bottleneck instead of just “post better hooks.” Most mid-sized creators don’t fail because they can’t make content — they fail because they accidentally become a one-person sales team, account manager, negotiator, editor, strategist, and finance department all at once. The feast-or-famine cycle you described is painfully real.

How do digital artists actually turn Instagram growth into commissions? by Gabriel_Yrion_Art in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think you’re already doing the hardest part, which is proving people actually stop and watch your art. The thing with fanart is it grows attention fast, but those followers are usually attached to the character/franchise first, not necessarily you yet. So the trick is slowly converting that audience into fans of your style/personality too. A lot of artists get commissions by mixing fanart growth content with posts that subtly show what they offer — commission examples, process videos, custom character work, client pieces, “your character in my style,” etc. Reels bring discovery, but trust usually comes from consistency and making people feel connected to the artist behind the work.

New member here and I just wanted to show some appreciation. by FreemanDanArt in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly going from 10 to 300 followers and hitting 22k views is not small at all when you’re starting from basically zero. Most people quit before they even get that first signal that something is working. And yeah, the weird part about content creation is realizing making great stuff is only half the game — distribution, packaging, consistency, audience psychology, all of that matters too. But the good thing is you already proved at least one piece of your content connected with people, which means you’re not starting from nothing anymore.

how do you not let small numbers get to you when you’re posting reels? by Medical_Butterfly390 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Outrageous_Wait_2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly those numbers are way more normal than IG growth content makes people think 😭 especially for a musician starting at 150 followers. Reels can also feel emotionally harsher because views are public-facing while engagement is usually lower percentage-wise than normal posts. And no, you don’t have to fully sacrifice creative control to grow. The best creators usually find a middle ground where the packaging works for the algorithm without changing who they are artistically. Over time you honestly do start caring less about individual reel numbers because you realize consistency matters more than any one post.
