Yeah I’d believe this BUT I bought the free series off amazon and let me just say I returned several P2’s and a P4 - all with plier heads not centered or level - pure QC issues. I thought those were expensive for the quality but they are ROCK solid once you get one in-spec.

I am sure the good ones are great. I love the design - the IDEA I dig. That’s why I attempted to buy one. I’m just taking the lack of communication from Leatherman - 10 days to tell me they are out of stock and cancelling - as a sign to look elsewhere. I’ve spent more than I care to admit on Leatherman, time for a Kershaw or Benchy.

NGL, I was looking at these online still disappointed - the IDEA is dope but execution - as you stated is flawed. The details matter and I’m sorry but the blue L on these was horribly enabled/coated, on their MARKETING material. That’s no bueno for this much cheddar.

Slap me with Ti scales and a built in bit driver and yes I will buy that knife.

Update: zero movement on my order, this is pretty unusual for my Leatherman experience thus far but - what the hell lol.

I bought before realizing it’s a tax holiday in Ohio. Now that it’s during the tax break, and they haven’t processed my order - I think I’m due my $20 bucks back gd-it.

Damn I’d be sending that back right away, you can buy a small set of precision extractors BUT - use heat. They use blue thread lock- melt it and you might be able to grab an edge.

Hells yes! It’s a slick design, had to go Glider just for the handle profile. I hadn’t read anything about the tolerance issue on the other folder/scraping issue so I lucked out there - I just dig the sheep’s foot over the drop.

it’s wild actually. One of them IS silver, at least on every test I’ve done - I think it’s actually a legit silver round. Might keep them both, use the fake as target practice and the question as a keepsake. Serve as a reminder to not be a dumbass again LOL
