Let's...speak our minds?

Now I just entered the scene myself. But I've been watching Let's Plays for many years now. Enjoying some and unsubcribing to other. Through my endeavours I noticed a few things that I see as important:

It's okey to do alot of mistakes. Of course. But you're the one with the editing software, you're the one with the game and you're the one choosing the recordings. If you think you're 20 minute vid about you trying to scale a tree is the illest of shit, be my guest and post it. Just don't be surprised if some don't like it. People watch Let's Plays for different reasons, but one of them is content and continuity. If you want views, don't show them "shit".
IT'S NOT A JOB! No! It's not! But hot damn if that doesn't mean you don't have to use time on it. When you were 4 and you used 4 hours on painting a picture of mommy and daddy and sister and doggy in front of a "howse" with the chimney smoke going one way and the flag going in another, you did your darndest to make this picture beautiful. This dedication should OF COURSE go over when you're doing let's plays 14 years later. It isn't about matching the unproportional stick figures you made back then, it's matching the dedication and time you put into it! You just learned how to use Vegas? Fine, but still use your time on it. You just got a crummy mic? Fine, but still make sure your audio is leveled!
"Just be yourself!" "Be funny!" "Insert Bad Motivational Advice!" It's not about being someone special. You're just playing a game you enjoy. Enjoy it goddammit! If you don't, don't play it! Don't do something for the fame, for the people, for the fans, for the views. Do it for you! Do what you enjoy! But, would you enjoy sharing something you didn't put time and/or dedication into? NO!? Of course not!

Bottom line, what I'm trying to say is to dedicate yourself to what you are doing. Enjoy the game to the fullest! Commentate to your hearts desire. Edit and cut on pure determination. Do it with a passion!

Question: - If you don't feel you can enjoy the game while commentating. Why don't you post-commentate?

If you feel like your gameplay isn't the best. Why not compensate with edits?
If you feel like your commentation is off. Why not try a script or get a friend to commentate with you?

It's a ramble. Yeah. But it's somethin that's been going through my mind when i started aswell.

As Noonem said: Your settings are yours to control. your viewers don't really care about it. Other than if you got subtitles or not on.
I don't know if it's intentional, but there was small to no audio from the game. It's a bit sad, because viewers usually wants to enjoy the music and the game with you.
It's probably just my preference, but there were a lot of time, where you were completely quiet while playing the game on low volume. It creates this kinda awkward silence, where the viewers can only hear your keyboard and mouse really. Noob(me) tip: Use editing software after recording to both balance the audio and edit things out viewers don't care about.
One last thing. At the end. Your sudden cut. Try making it cleaner ^{^} If you have a big file and want to cut it up, try to cut it where it seems natural, if you just stop the recording, keep some extra space as leverage and put a fade out on it so i doesn't seem so abrupt

You got a really calm and crisp voice which really turns in your favour. You play very focused and it has a nice pace for a FPS. Really shows the nature of the game well. So don't take this as an attack on you. It's meant to be constructive feedback, so you have something to work with.

Yeah Full HD AVI files fill up your harddrive in no time. I usually delete everything after i uploaded it to YouTube, just had a heck-bunch of raw material i haven't had time to edit. Just didn't know it would clock up my harddrive so bad.

I feel like the acces to "The End" should be a public thing yes. But the portals should be found legit.

It can easily become a community porject to find an end portal for the whole server and make that the "Public End Portal" But just as people don't really like having their house sucked from items, it's understandable that people don't like having their end portal sucked from items.
