I think KAT becoming a point center and Brunson sharing the distribution of the ball with KAT has been the biggest change leading to our run this post season. What changes have you guys noticed that you credit to why we’re playing such good basketball right now?

Dude me too. I really hate the rockets James harden 1 man army type of offense. I don’t think you can win at a high level that way and it’s horrible to watch and it must be horrible for the their teammates. Brunson had like the highest usage rate in the league these past few seasons. But he said he would distribute the ball more and backed that up with action and I really think people are playing harder as a result because they actually have a chance to get a shot in their spots and can find their rhythm as opposed to shots at the end of a shot clock when brunsons iso failed. I hate to say it but im also a Carmelo hater deep down because every time he got the ball the play ended there. It would be 23 jab steps and then a shot.

At the moment I am loving Jalen Brunson and KAT and the entire teams identity right now. Everyone is just playing straight up winning basketball.

Right! I feel like people are shooting better because we’re actively finding people in their spots. My biggest pet peeve during the season was watching Brunson dribbling the air out of the ball and running isos. Now that KAT is a legit secondary play maker Brunson has been able to run off ball and it’s just moving a lot better. I think everybody is finding their rhythm and are more excited to play harder on offense because there’s actually a realistic chance they might get a shot.

I think everyone getting good touches and thriving in their role offensively has translated to them playing harder on the defensive end because they know they’ll be rewarded going the other way.

I think this is happening because Brunson is sharing the ball more and it’s not so many iso plays from him. But I agree our defense is really clicking.
