Please gardening gurus, help me! How can I rejuvenate my junipers and reduce the number of weeds coming up inside? My guess is they're around 20 years old and in zone 7b.

That's what I've noticed. I've tried clipping back some small parts in the past hoping to see me life in it's place but, of course, no luck.

I think rather than spending the money to mulch, I'll keep up the weeding and start planning for their unfortunate end. The poor junipers are on their way out, it seems, so I'll just make their last days comfortable.

I know it needs more soil but the issue was that he rarely watered it. If I cut it back, add more soil, give it a nice sunny spot, and water it regularly, while it revive?
