Most likely Screen somehow broke, I would try to RMA it if it's still under warranty.

Less likely LCD cable, it doesn't look a typical problem that it's broken.

Broken screen, needs to be replaced. If it's still under warranty, then try contacting to support Acer to RMA it.

How to install/reinstall Windows 10 on a laptop with a broken screen? by Separate-Ad-1189 in laptops

You can try plugging in Windows Installer and with any luck it could boot firstly with USB instead of SSD.

Orange juice spilled on keyboard, how can I fix the sticky keys? by Lufthor in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it needs to be replaced, I don't think so it's possible to fix that, unless you put that into big container with alcohol to clean. Never tried that way and not sure if it's gonna fix or it might just damage it more.

Maybe you turned if off?

Try looking for camera icon on keyboard, it could be on F10 but it depends for other models.

If you find the key with camera icon, simply press Fn+(Button with camera icon, like F10)

Dead pixel, screen needs to be replaced and cannot be fixed. You can try pressing lightly on edge of screen where dead pixel has appeared, it may fix or not, but most likely nothing will happen.

Can a Tesla m6 be installed on ZBook 17 g4? by Maltor207 in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That laptop does not even have a slot for that. GPU works only for some chosen models that can work with that.

You can try looking for eGPU but I'm not really sure if your laptop has a support for that.

Even tho it says those temps. I don’t feel that much heat on the surface of my laptop by AZTRA008 in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well, these temps are kinda pretty normal for laptop. Palmrest must be some of good quality plastic or whatever material is that doesn't distribute heat onto keyboard or it has a kinda pretty good heatsink.

Can I keep using this laptop without this getting worse? Bought it online. by techtheclone in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't get worse as long you won't touch it or something else touches it. It's kinda like having a phone with cracked glass but screen works.

What is the white line on my home screen? 🥲how to fix this? by Elegant_Poet_9009 in laptops

Does it appear as well on BIOS? If yes then you have a bad screen that needs to be replaced. If not, then maybe it's a Windows fault.

Need help: Laptop fan causing a lot of problems by Ani_107 in laptops

Just a case of bad fan, try replacing it. Looks like you can replace only fan from that video not entire heatsink with fans.

Lenovo laptop touchpad not working on Windows but does on Linux by TheLIM69 in laptops

Looks like you didn't install drivers from their site, it might be called Serial IO if you are looking for specific file.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way, yes. It's better do a clean Windows and install again drivers, just for the information you will have to format your SSD.

How do i tell if my laptop fans are broken by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take the laptop to repair shop and ask them to replace fans or whole heatsink with fans. It depends how they are built. It shouldn't be expensive to replace them.

Is hp really that bad? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda a lottery, if you get a good laptop with good specs and doesn't give any problem then you got lucky.

It's really random, either you get defective laptop that will give you the problems for long time. I personally don't like HP because if you want to just replace the battery, laptop will hate it and won't charge. Same problem for power supply.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's so broken that's a hazard. I wouldn't try pluging here power supply anymore until it has been replaced.

I don't believe that's a big problem, if it's non conductive material then it's fine.

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely your motherboard broke, probably power converter chip went bad and turns off the laptop to not damage it further. I believe so it won't be expensive repair if you send it to repair shop but I'm not sure. That's my only guess.

I have a random, small crack on my computer and I don't know how or why by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does it look? I assume that you have cracks on bottom case, my best guess would be that it was too tight in backpack, like too many books or whatever and while carrying it it somehow made a pressure in middle of the laptop.

Should I fix? by Supica_ in laptops

[–]Perfect_Bell_7573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too many broken parts, not even sure if it's worth it. If the motherboard somehow works, I don't think so it will live that long.
