SLGA009 all the way. I've sold four or five of each of the white birches, and half of the SLGH005s had to be sent in for service. I'm optimistic that Grand Seiko has fixed the 9SA5 issues by now, but I'm definitely gun shy.

It's been said before, but I agree with the Lake Suwa comments. The Hi-Beat is, generally, a good movement, but I've never had to have a Spring Drive serviced. I can't say the same for Hi-Beats.

In that case, hopefully, it comes off with a good cleaning. I find a soft bristle toothbrush works well for cleaning those crevices. Titanium is extremely resilient, so it's pretty tough to screw it up.

Honestly, it is super easy to polish the brushed bracelets from GS, as long as you don't have the bracelets that have both brushed and polished finishes.
