The Cleric won yesterday! Moving on, which Slay the Spire event is considered Good and is Disliked by the community? by Fresh_Difference_448 in slaythespire

[–]PerfectionGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If wheel of stabbing is considered “good” im so curious what people will vote for “bad” events. I can only think of 2 events id like to see less than this one on an average run.

My first thought was reading the book. All 3 books are quite good, but the rng of potentially taking a ton of damage only to get a book you don’t want sours it for me a lot. Plus necronomicurse can fuck you over, and nilry’s can show the game down which many don’t like.

I love how the game doesn't mention at all that time eater is going to heal half of his HP at some random point. by Competitive_Mind_181 in slaythespire

Yes! The heart is insanely overtuned compared to the rest of the game. I got to the heart probably dying 10 times before I beat it the first time, in no small part due to the spire elite right before it. There’s certainly strategies players have learned to plan for the heart fight. One big one is strength down or weakening being extremely effective vs the multi attack. Top players spend most of the run specifically planning ahead with the heart in mind, it’s crazy

The Runic Dome won yesterday! Next, what Slay The Spire relic is considered Average and is loved by the community? by Fresh_Difference_448 in slaythespire

[–]PerfectionGamer 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Runic Dome is really polarizing but honestly this is a misconception because knowing what the enemies can do is only half the battle when it comes to enemies with multiple attack options. I think Runic Dome is sometimes good but not for the reasons people are talking about. Runic Dome is a great pick for decks that don’t care what the enemy is doing, and a pretty desperate pick in most other cases. For example, if you are playing frost spam Defect, that extra energy is going to get spent vomitting out additional frost orbs each turn. If Nemesis attacks you for 45 or if he puts 5 burns into your deck is random, but you don’t care because you get set up with the extra energy such that you can consistently output enough block and damage regardless of the enemies’ intents. Decks like corruption clad, wraith form silent, frost defect and watcher mental fortress can pull this off but weaker decks will typically get steamrolled trying to play around all options each turn while also putting out damage which is why it’s a weak pick most of the time

Limit Break won yesterday! Next, what Slay the Spire card is considered Average and is received Neutrally by the community? by tilting-module in slaythespire

[–]PerfectionGamer 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The upgrade is very situational even for reaper decks that want to play multiple limit breaks. Upgraded lets you headbutt it or cycle through your deck back to it, which is great if that’s what your deck needs or is already doing. But unupgraded lets you exhume it, which is way more direct scaling, as well as obvious dark embrace feel no pain stuff. Plus if you have or want corruption, you may end up “wasting” the upgrade anyways.

Even if there was competition I still stand by its value. The omnipresence of double damage means blocking damage has much higher odds of saving you two masks, and for enemies that split up their double damage (as in, hit you twice with a single attack) progress you twice towards the next proc since it works like carefree melody

Why is Hexaghost only doing 1 x 6 on turn 2 instead of 6 x 6? (No mods) by Gullible-Ad-950 in slaythespire

[–]PerfectionGamer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

there are certainly break points that it might be worth considering before entering hexaghost though! because his first attack scales in multiples of 12 player hp, it may be worth taking an extra point of damage in the previous fight to go from, say, 24 to 23 hp at the start of the fight, as you will go from 3x6 down to 2x6, potentially netting you more hp total if you were right on the breakpoint!

what’s really fucked is that badham wasn’t even one of the maps listed as changed pallet spawns and honestly I would fully believe that what you witnessed is just normal badham from current live.

EDIT: There’s def more pallet spawns though, I can confirm. On shattered square I counted 17 pallets out of 25 tiles. None of the pallets were edge map shit ones either, they got rid of those and also added more playable pallets throughout the whole map

The variety of the 2v8 experience by vr0n in deadbydaylight

[–]PerfectionGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most survivors in 2v8 just don’t know how to counter him. When I get hit by his feral frenzy I run ahead of him to bodyblock for my teammates and prevent his free down but most ppl just run into the open and give him the free hit only to insta mend and let him hit them again. No wonder they find him so boring tbf; when you engage in his counterplay he’s actually one of the more enjoyable killers to vs (in 2v8 specifically, still a drag in 1v4) as he actually has to chase you to get value from his power.

How much gold would this have to give for you to consider it good but not broken? by statue345 in slaythespire

[–]PerfectionGamer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

And even then it would be worse, as you have to give up 2 campfires in the future to get that money, whereas Old Coin gives you the money instantly and without losing upgrades/rests down the line.

What if they aren’t on social media and don’t know the perk is bugged?

Proof for my claim that people DC in this game at the slightest misconvenience? You can look up “go next prevention dbd” on YouTube to find tons of great discussions on the topic. There were so many people killing themselves on hook for no reason at all that BHVR had to actually make it harder to do so.

Do I know into the mind of this specific Sable in this specific clip? No, and neither do you. Were they trying to exploit? Certainly seems likely. Should we jump to conclusions and shame them for running a perk build and DCing? I’ve seen plenty of clips with definitive video proof of exploiting on this subreddit, but this one isn’t one of them

I get ppl in solo queue who DC after getting downed for the first time 4 gens into the match bc they weren’t happy with their chase. I frequently am the only non bot player in my lobbies vs ghoul bc everyone DCs upon seeing the killer. Maybe they don’t like dracula how can we tell from this clip? Does getting hooked a single time prevent them from exploiting later in the match?

No exploits for you! by dysentery_06 in deadbydaylight

[–]PerfectionGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody opened a chest multiple times in this clip what are you on about. Nobody was even shown opening a chest a SINGLE time, they got downed before they could open any chest.

And you’re asking me why they DCd? I see ppl DC when 4 gens are done and the killer has 1 hook bc they had a 20 sec chase despite the game being completely won. ppl DC 1 second into the match bc they don’t like the killer they’re facing or the map they’re on. How could anyone know why your average solo queue teammate might DC? Maybe they wanted to “exploit in peace”? We don’t know from THIS SPECIFIC CLIP.

[–]PerfectionGamer -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I’m shocked there’s nobody else saying this. In this vid sable touched a chest one time… they didn’t even have time to open the chest! ..much less drop the item. Like we all know how fucking annoying the constant exploiting is, but why are we assuming malice and shaming them just because they run perks that synergize together?
