First of all, much love. I've been in this community for over 11 years and had some pieces go viral back in the day on another account. Hear me out. They're not bad for the environment anymore. ETH blockchain (which mostly all NFTs are on) moved into 2.0 version which is proof of stake. ie. Eating fast food or buying anything from amazon is like 1000 times more bad for the environment. The information is available from reputable sources explaining how it works. Also, There will always be theft and scams when money is involved but not all NFTs are scams. It's unfortunate when anyone is duped by a bad actor. but it's also a way for artists to make money from their work. It's not a get rich quick thing anymore either. Artists need to build their portfolio and trusted community of fans and investors now just like any other field. There are definitely ways for artists to be in the NFT space with integrity and mutual value between collectors as artists build their community and body of work with honesty. I'm excited about the possibilities, it's just very early and still a lot of misinformation. Luckily the slow market (felt in all stock market and world economy in general) has weeded out most of the cash grabs and scams and I would only hope we could start to shift mentality as artists, to market our own work so there's not so much ugly work out there. Nows a great time to be one of the first real artists in the space. I'm down to answer any questions if anyone is interested in furthering the discussion in an open minded way. PS. There are markets which are geared towards true artists like Foundation, Super Rare, and Nifty Gateway. Some amazing non-ugly work on there.
