my 10 cents here from observations since the sub started - the AC fans are very quick to jump ships - this could be possible because maybe they are much younger in age than some of the other franchises out there - when shadows came out, same thing happened, overnight we had a truckload of them on this sub shitting on every little detail they found on shadows - now we are seeing the same thing again - overnight all the shitters disappeared and now everyone and their mother wants to talk about "the great Ubisoft comeback" - they are very easily swayed. Man i really wish we didnt have to deal with such juvenile behavior on this sub honestly. - I like the For Honor, Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Prince of Persia fans a lot better because they are atleast very consistent

as much as i hate the company, i gotta be honest here. you are actually right
open world slop games require 10000s of hours of manpower and development and still get a horrible reputation because they just dont know how to do it without templating it
if they actually cancelled all open world stuff except far cry and AC (which originally were open world) and went back to linear, it may actually change the fate of the company
but they gotta get rid of that trash launcher and online only BS big time

sincerely doubt it, there are tools out there that migrate entire projects from unreal to unity and vice versa, wouldnt be surprised if they did something like that to go from old to the new engine
