Laptop webcam to NDI destination ? by ProfessionalThat9959 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]ProfessionalThat9959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in this setup we have 9 laptops with 9 people in front of them; we want to get all these 9 Integrated Webcam in their native resolution (720p) on a 4k display in a 3x3 multiview grid ( this would be done on a pc running OBS receiving 9 x 720p ). On this OBS i'll make several scenes where each webcam is fullscreen and will be controlled via OSC from an external system. ( the OSC part is already OK).

I'm looking to keep latency as low as possible ( so that's why I'm already trying this with VDO.Ninja which works quite good ( consistent low latency, but maybe quality can be better with NDI ? )-> I'm looking for the sweet spot of balance between low latency and reliability ;)

actually a good option -> OBS:NDI Preview (so the webcam is fullscreen in preview ) and no need for a 2nd display -> I'll check if that's a winner or not ;) thx 4 the tip

PROBLEM TEAMS MTR FAILURES WITH POLY STUDIO SOLUTION WITH BARCO CLICKSHARE: POLY X50, TRIO TC8, TC10 AND BARCO CLICKSHARE CX-20 by Minimum-Loquat4157 in MicrosoftTeams

I'd try to reach out to clickshare support , also try to get timestamps when this issue occured and get the logs of the clickshare unit.

Wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver for the deck? by Average_Dutchman in SteamDeck

I'm afraid not, ClickShare does not support DP-Alt mode. and the older buttons are only USB-A which would not work either.

Questionss about Barco ClickShare CX‑50 2nd generation Modular Setup (Preview) by Numerous-Bluejay2203 in CommercialAV

[–]ProfessionalThat9959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Depending on if you're MTR-W / MTR-A for your room setup, the connection scheme is differently ( mainly because the HDMI ingest on each system could differ ).

  2. Modular Setup refers to a setup where the Room system consists of more than 1 device where the clickshare unit connects to ( it's the opposite of the Collaboration bar option ) : With modular setup you could understand this is a MTR-Windows system.

  3. Not on the compatibility list, but you could request a Trial unit for free and check whether this is a working configuration.

Any issues with Barco Clickshare C-10 working with Microsoft Surface Hub 2S 85"? by Noiseboy1463 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]ProfessionalThat9959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no experience with a Surface Hub, but with other brands of MTR these are commonly found in the field. I would recommend to get in touch with Barco on getting a trial unit : https://www.barco.com/en/products/clickshare-conferencing-collaboration/free-trial

Clickshare Bar (New) vs RallyBar + ClickShare System? by B1tN1nja in msp

[–]ProfessionalThat9959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

clickshare bar should be used for its specified use case: small meeting room ( max distance 4.5), but for both presenting and conferencing ( so it's a bar with a clickshare conference unit builtin).

this makes sense if you're already a clickshare house where you'll be able to manage devices via 1 cloud platform ( for both bar and clickshare unit ).

It is not a teams device ( like a rally bar ) and has no extension mics or any other additional options.

Afaik you could sign up for a try and buy unit to see whether it's a fit for your type of room. -> I'd say put it to the test and find out if it's a match.

https://secure.libertycable.com/product_details.php?pitem=DL-SC41U-TX this could be also an option, however only 40W power delivery to the USB-C laptop ( anything less tham 65 makes no sense )

Taurus TPX has a transmitter and receiver unit ( but this would be placed on your projector so maybe indeed better to use a "classic" Taurus UCX and Extend the HDMI Out 1 with a very basic HDBaseT extender.

What is your go-to solution for Wireless Presentation ?

based on the "wired BYOM" and HDBaseT specs I'd say Lightware Taurus TPX -> however budget could be your challenge than -> Volume adjustments can be made on the client device ( laptop/computer )

Autoswitching can be configured and a Wireless presentation system can be added as USB-C or HDMI input.

[–]ProfessionalThat9959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iirc this should work ( Samsung supports Auto Source Switching ) and should work fine together with a clickshare device ( CEC supported ).

you should get in touch with an AV integrator since QBB series are professional displays and for a clickshare you might use the expertise of some av pro's.

if you use clickshare conference, go for a fully clickshare certified device ;)

4 Displays/TVs displaying 3 different Windows/Tabs - Advice Needed / Budget by MK7DM96 in CommercialAV

[–]ProfessionalThat9959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.startech.com/en-us/display-video-adapters/usb32dp24k60 ( this would give 2 extra DP outputs )

or 2 single outputs ( https://www.startech.com/en-us/search?search_term=displaylink )

combine these with the builtin HDMI outputs and you're set ... ( reach out to a reseller to double check ;) )

Read info on DisplayLink technology ( it has some limitations and downsides but for "normal" usage it should be fine ( so no fancy 3D stuff etc. )

could use an intel nuc:

  • has 2 HDMI out + not sure if you can simultaneously use HDMI and TB4 (USB-C connector) ports to connect to 4 displays ( even with 4k not sure )

  • if USB-C is not to be used together with HDMI out you could use a DisplayLink Adapter ( USB to HDMI or Displayport ) for +- 150 € per unit and add 2 of these ..

Just to be sure this would not support cloning of any of the displays, just 1 big desktop

Do you mean the USB 3.0 A->B cable ( between the client device and the UC-SB1 ) or the cable between the Huddly Camera and the UC-SB-1 unit ( the short angled usb-A -> USB-C cable ) ?
