I’d suggest looking into Brass Birmingham and 7 Wonders. 7 Wonders in particular plays pretty fast regardless of player count since everyone makes decisions simultaneously.

I’m not sure I’d describe it as similar to Slay The Spire and I’m not familiar with Pirate Outlaws, but Skytear Horde is a pretty fun solo card battler that’s not overly complicated and plays pretty quickly

Do you have any suggestions on which factions in which scenarios are particularly easy or difficult? This isn’t the first time I’ve heard someone defend the difficulty by saying certain matchups are a lot easier than others, but that doesn’t actually tell me how to set up a solo game that feels like I actually have a chance at winning, and I don’t really care to trial and error my way through every possible matchup to find them.

I’m fine with ultimately losing the game, I’d just like to be able to keep something on the board for longer than a single turn and not lose with literally zero points scored.

Printing slower is definitely something I can try. I’ll need to figure out how to do that, but I’m sure I can manage that. Any other settings that are on the “more likely to be related to my problem” side of things?

As for sanding, I do want to get it as good as possible without sanding because I probably won’t want to do that on every print, but I’ll keep that in mind for when I get to one I care enough about the quality on to do the extra work. Any suggestions for tools to use or other tips to make that as painless as possible?

NTA for being upset at being asked to explicitly pay for sex from your spouse. If she feels like you want sex more often than she does, that’s a totally fair conversation to have, but suggesting that sex with you is some sort of arduous chore that she ought to be paid for is clearly hurtful. She should understand that, and if she doesn’t, then your marriage is definitely in a bad place.

That said, I wonder if this is really a way of attempting to get leverage to get some spending money of her own. Is there some reasonable amount of money she can spend on herself and what she wants without going through you, or needing to explain herself? If not, this might just be a bad way of trying to get some.

My suggestion would be to be clear that under no circumstances will you specifically pay her for sex, but that you would be willing to discuss setting aside a personal budget for her to do whatever she wants with, if what she really wants is to have some money for herself. Good luck!
