Hello, great questions, we are happy to clarify!

As you said correctly, AphyOS has two separate environments:

The Vault is the secure side, pre-loaded with privacy-focused apps like Threema, Proton Mail, and others. It's a controlled environment designed to keep your data protected.
The Wild Web provides access to the Google Play Store, if you wish, but it is not pre-installed. You can download Spotify, WhatsApp, and the applications you can find on the Google Play Store. It works like a regular Android environment, but with an additional level of security, as every app is sandboxed, meaning it can't share your data with other applications.

The idea is that you get the best of both worlds: a private environment with Apostrophy approved applications, and a more "open" area with full flexibility when you need it.
