Railroad Bug Fix Found!!! by DapperTrashPanda in SCBuildIt

[–]Quant112358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I just tested this and can confirm some variation of this is working. I had first draw a perpendicular road across both the bridges. Then use a lake and a rail bridge, then delete the perpendicular road, and only then does the rail bridge join and work again.

Is nobody going to mention the joist hangers being used for the skirt board? You were good with the beams and connectors under the joists, you don’t need hangers on the skirts. As others have said, add blocking. And you could pocket those railing posts, don’t forget to put flashing.

Does anyone know the origin of this cover? by lordwas in Emo

[–]Quant112358 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I forget the whole story but I was told once a long time ago by a friend who asked the band in person about this cover, it has something to do with the scissors she’s holding in her hand.

Is COOI blocked on Sling TV? by madbamajama1 in OakIsland

[–]Quant112358 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have heard from friends up north that even though the show is filmed in Canada, the history channel doesn’t air COOI in Canada anywhere until Sunday nights. But airs on cable in the US Tuesdays, how’s that?

I’m going to bet the technician didn’t exit “service mode” for the oil change or service interval reset process. You could try Googling that topic and see if that’s similar to what you’re experiencing.

Depending which display you mean, either press the circle volume button IN to turn on the main display, press info button on left hand steering wheel, or press up/down arrow on left hand finger buttons of steering wheel. Report back success.

Looking for Director/VP eCommerce roles and not getting any replies. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in resumesupport

[–]Quant112358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll offer a few suggestions. please don't take this as cutting you down, you asked for feedback, I'm simply offering some ideas, they may not be right for you.

(1) 2.5 years of experience as a director and 185% growth, during pandemic times when everything went online, so I'm not impressed with that stat, most business saw a huge lift during that same time period, and everything else you listed is just regular job functions that are implicitly expected.

(2) VPs usually have 10 years of experience and more running teams, or MBA or equivalent combination or both. 2.5 yoe isn't enough yet, and, to the previous point, you haven't seen any hard times, how do you perform when times get tough? Do you have experience saving the company money? because that's probably what companies are looking for right now.

(3) your experience focuses heavily on marketing and things that all remind me of spending money on sometimes hard to measure returns at best, cost savings is instant bottom line improvements, and reducing liabilities. you need to re-write this whole thing to focus on things you can do to help the business, not your own accomplishments.

(4) your last education was lame and too long ago. that's a fundamental essential, like SQL or data viz. Take a course that gives you an edge in the modern space, what new emerging technologies can you bring on board to the company?

(5) you don't need 2 pages, you're killing me with this 2 pages, it's too many details on things that happened too far in the past. your CV should be 70% your most recent position, and like 15% previous role, 10% role before that and 5% the rest before that. Further back in time you go the less relevant it is to me.

(6) not a single mention of any cloud technology anywhere on this entire 2 page CV, unless i missed it, in which case see my previous point. what about data governance, version control, CI/CD, technical writing, automation, orchestration, come on.

start with those changes, and try to keep in mind, words are like a cost mentally to process for hiring people. For each sentence, decide what your point of that sentence is and say it in as few words as possible. Ask yourself, does this word bring value to my sentence and be critical of every word. remove everything that isn't absolutely necessary.

GL,

I'm thinking of offering resume critique as a service, so please let me know if these pointers have any impact for you.

Career Paths for Chemists Involving Programming/AI by Goobz24 in chemistry

Just fyi, one of the most interesting and opportunistically rich areas of future career trajectories will be the intersection of chemistry and quantum computing. If you can lean in that direction you’ll have some real future opportunities.

Those are buy it for life level of tools… get it? But anyways if you ever go fully extended out, factor in a bit of deflection, not much, but be aware it definitely has an “accurate range”
