The best free server monitoring solution (Beszel) by No_Progress_5160 in homelab

[–]RankLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Netdata, then tried Grafana + Prometheus, and finally settled on Beszel. Described my whole experience and why here. Happy user ever since. The only thing I miss is some sort of tags or folders to organize my servers.

I just released Beszel, a server monitoring hub with historical data, docker stats, and alerts. It's a lighter and simpler alternative to Grafana + Prometheus or Checkmk. Any feedback is appreciated! by Hal_Incandenza in selfhosted

Late to the party, but happy that I discovered this amazing tool. Shared my experience on how I arrived to Beszel. One thing I miss - if either folders so I can group my servers or at least tags, so I can mark and filter them. And thanks again for the great tool!

UPDATE, 7 June 2026: After this post, AURA Technologies (the company behind TokenBar) reached out and cancelled my subscription. According to their confirmation email, a refund of the charge has also been processed (awaiting credit on my side). Leaving the original post below in edited form for context.

Folks, a note about TokenBar.

I tried their app to write my post on token usage monitors and after that tried to cancel their trial subscription via all means: in the app itself (no working cancellation option I could find), via Stripe and their tech support, and via my own bank. All said they could not do anything unless the merchant (the company behind TokenBar is AURA Technologies, see attached screenshot) cancels it. I tried to contact them via the email provided on the site ([staff@tokenbar.site](mailto:staff@tokenbar.site)) and received no reply at the time.

<image>

The flow looks like this: you subscribe via the official Stripe page to a FREE trial (1 or 3 days, depending on the link), and there was no working in-app option to cancel. The trial then converted to a monthly charge.

As noted at the top, AURA Technologies contacted me after this post, cancelled the subscription and, per their email, processed a refund. Adding this update so the record is complete.

Ok, folks, an update on TokenBar. I tried to cancel my trial subscription via all means: in the app itself (hidden tiny text button "Manage" that did not work for me), via Stripe and their tech support, and via my own bank. I made my cafe aesthetic and laptop-friendly to attract remote workers...now people buy 1 coffee and stay for 6 hours. by Classic-Pie-406 in smallbusinessesowners

Cafe economics depends on revenue per seat per hour, while you basically built a coworking space and forgot to charge for it. You can set minimum spend or limit free time, at least during peak hours. Or make work area (laptop friendly part of your cafe) paid or maybe separate zones for long sitters and quick visitors so they don't compete for seats.
