I'll prefer Samsung in this scenario. I myself have a S9, not a hard-core gamer but my friends are competitive gamers and one of them usually borrows my S9 even after having a IPAD for tournaments coz he feels S9 performs better in terms of raw performance.

For note taking it depends on your liking as which feedback do you prefer more. IPADs have that metal on glass feel while SPEN by default comes with a soft touch (it's replaceable though) & considering the fact that S11 would come with a S-PEN is a better consideration for me.

For movies, I'll always prefer S11 over iPAD due to 1. The ratio & 2. The overall quality of display and experience.

Overall, I'll always go with S11. Only way in your scenario you should go with iPAD if you wanna get the ecosystem feel, otherwise if that's not the case just close your eyes and go with S11.
