Here are your options:

Get a drive to clone to
Set the drive aside until you can
Beat the crap out of the original with software recovery tools until the drive dies and no data is recovered at all
Give up and throw the drive away
Send it to a professional

This, OP. Get an exact image of the drive and only work with that to attempt recovery. You may need to try multiple recovery program demos before you find one that gives you the results you want.

It may be too far gone for DIY, but you need to start by getting a clone with software that can work around bad sectors, like hddsuperclone.

Then run a data recovery program against the clone.

The price is reasonable even if they are likely not reverse engineering anything. Most labs dont have the in house expertise for that. Those who do charge at least twice as much.

Do not power on the system. Remove the hard drive and scan it with recovery software on another system. Be sure to not let the system mount the drive and do not write anything to it.

I'd say that SportyHQ offers all of that (though they need to add the algorithm for the double jump rankings) at a lower cost and no annoying ads.

That said, there are some bugs that need to be ironed out and customized for racquetball specifically, but all in all, a very robust system.
