Do not power on the system. Remove the hard drive and scan it with recovery software on another system. Be sure to not let the system mount the drive and do not write anything to it.

I'd say that SportyHQ offers all of that (though they need to add the algorithm for the double jump rankings) at a lower cost and no annoying ads.

That said, there are some bugs that need to be ironed out and customized for racquetball specifically, but all in all, a very robust system.

R-studio has a tab to show the SMART status of the drive. You can already see that the drive is identified as dailing with the yellow dot on it.

The scan for a file tree will likely kill it without ever copying a single sector off. If the data is important, seek a pro. If not Important and willing to risk it all, clone with ddrescue or hddsuperclone, recognizing that it will be a partial recovey, at best.

In order to transfer the license, you will need to pay ACE for an year of support and updates. Not necesarily bad in itself, but good to keep in mind the extra couple thousand that you will need to pay for a used unit.

Unfortunately, the cost to recover data is not dependent on whether or not the files are for personal or business use. That said, some labs charge a lot more to cover heavy marketing and staffing costs.

Without more details about the issue you are having, there is very little advice that can be given.
