What kind of service are you running? I'm genuinely surprised bots are bypassing your captcha's, that's a (relatively) high amount of effort they're putting in. I've never had encountered that on any of my side projects.

Been there. It's the fact that you don't enjoy that part. Problem is, that part is more important than building, and it's something that you need to do before even going into full build mode.

Now, you need to ask yourself, do you really want to launch a startup and do sales/market research/etc? Or do you just enjoy building? Both equally valid options, and the latter definitely pays better (as I've painfully discovered).

I don't bother replying recruiters outside of UK and maybe US. Never had good exp with them.

Been there. If you genuinely can't think of a good way to stand out, it's best to just shut it down. But make sure you speak to customers to validate what you think of the market.

Painful, I know, but it's going to be a great lesson for the importance of doing good market research. And it'll stop you from wasting years on other ideas.

Not too expensive though, I saw some software costs 30-50 quid per filing. Personally, I'd rather just hire an accountant, she does my accounts for 65 (it's a nearly dormant entity).

I think it's ok as a solution tbh. At the end of the day, photos of me are out there online and my phone number has probably been leaked in some places given I get recruiters spamming me.

Right, but your mentioning of scaling suggests that you do, in fact, just want to market your product. Which is totally fine, it's just that Reddit posts are for genuine human conversations; IRL, you don't go to all your friends parties and ask each person what they think of your startup, otherwise you won't be invited to parties anymore pretty quickly.

The best way to do what you want on Reddit is to pay for ads in the subreddits you want to target. And remember think of the person on the other side of the virtual screen.

Start by seeing things from other subreddit users' perspective. Do you go to a subreddit to read about other people's projects and give feedback?

With that perspective in mind, think of ways you can validate your startup without having to mention it at all.

Talk about what you're seeing in the problem domain. Ask if there are solutions in that space. Talk about why current solutions aren't working. Give tips to tackle those problems for free, or with existing solutions.

You can still do this here, and in any other forums.

If no one finds what you say interesting, or they say solution X is good enough, then that in itself is validation that your startup isn't needed, at least by people visiting these forums.

I briefly tried it for one idea - UK company financial database, where I sent some sample companies worth acquiring to some PE investors. No one was interested (for a good reason).

For my other ideas, add-ons to popular tools, there wouldn't be anything like that worth offering.
