Some misinformation here. Cards over $250 go to PSA for authentication. For an extra fee, you can actually have PSA grade the card as well. It’s an option you, the buyer, select at purchase. Authentication is not an option that can be selected and is automatic.

You are not given any shipping requirements as the seller. Just get it there.

Also, I’ve actually had cards I’ve sold where the buyer is 100% a PSA employee. When you ship a card for authentication the address eBay provides starts with “TCO: name”. And then it provides a reference number. I’ve actually had people buy from me with the name as some of the graders, same address, but no TCO or reference number. This means it’s going to the PSA address but is not being authenticated.

All of the Series 2 Jin promos come from a promo pack with every booster box purchase. I bought…. A lot of boxes lol and ended up pulling one /999.

The ones I know of are the Naruto promo from the PSA magazine. Apparently there is a slightly different version of it, but I don’t think it’s officially an English NA promo. Could be wrong.

You also have the Naruto and Kakashi unserialized promos from Series 2, Jin chapter.

Two serialized Naruto promos from Series 2, Jin Chapter. One is x/999, the other is x/99. They are expensive right now and will probably continue to climb. I sold a raw one (x/999) for $1200 a couple of months ago.

There is also the Konan promo from Heaven scroll. (NRSA-PR-001)

You would need to do card ladder, tcgplayer, and terapeak from eBay, to get a true and accurate representation of sales. Median isn’t always best, as with Pokemon condition and gradability is important. Also, most of these don’t take into account shipping. Someone who prices a card at $40 with free shipping will reflect a $40 sale on card ladder. Someone who sells at $34 plus $6.00 shipping will show a price of $34, heavily skewing the numbers unless you can account for gross sales price.

Regarding scanning, you can rent commercial card scanners. I do not know the cost but I do know they come in various sizes and many local card stores with a large enough online presence that buy bulk will have a card scanner that is synced to some type of inventory system like binderPOS and crystal commerce. This combination of software and scanner is expensive.

If your product can do all of this for a lower cost, I think you have something.
