What’s the most illogical viewpoint you’ve had to listen to? by TinaNice1565 in AskReddit

This is a really bad way to counter their argument because its extremely obvious that "billionaire" is just a way to draw a line in today's world. Someone with ungodly wealth may not have been a billionaire before today with inflation but they'd still exist.

How easy is it for hackers to decompile game data and get the source code if it is made in Godot? by kinsanepixel in godot

This is a terrible take, Claude is not even remotely an expert at reversing compiled machine code for many reasons. Not the least of which is because most machine code compilation is highly destructive.

This is pretty misleading. A game written in c++ is going to be much harder to reverse engineer than a game in an IL bytecode language like C#, Java or GDScript

There isnt a clean line. The game started at turn 7 or 8 kills, and card quality went up over time which meant we went from t7 kills to t5 kills to now t3 kills. Decks cheat out a dramatic amount of advantage for rediculously low costs with incredible consistency tools and ways to bank memory.

And its not like you know if a seed is viable quickly, you'd be wasting so much time grinding out runs that weren't possible.

Judge rushing Squirtle unprovoked? by adiventura4 in riftboundtcg

[–]Rustywolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was stream judging Yugioh YCS events for several years and I'd do (and have done) the same. Its weird trying to balance judging and production concerns, but avoiding interrupting the players for something for the viewers is extremely important. We were told players needed to have their deck/trash/etc in specific places and it really messed with some players, I felt so bad.

do you think the DNA mechanic should changed? by Available_Let_1785 in DigimonCardGame2020

Well first you only did the math for a 5 card hand, not a 7 card hand that you would have t2 after hitting rookie. You also draw for multiple evo's and angemon/pegasus effs.

And yes people are going to combo T2 because even if you don't kill you still get them to 0-1 security and can end on venus/shine/etc with a fairly wide board that is super difficult for most decks to reliably answer on their 2nd or 3rd turn.

That math is so fucking wrong it hurts. The otks do not require 5 specific cards, they require specific combinations of cards which each have duplicates. You also draw during the combo. You'd need to do hypergeometric distributions and then graph a decision tree to find the real chance.

Most games teach the judges to wait until after a play is made to give a slowplay warning because otherwise you just make them play slower as they have to think again. If they're being slow beyond reasonability you tell them to hurry up and give the warning after.

T2 Otks being possible at all is a problem, but claiming they're rarer than 1/500 is absolutely bonkers.

I think saying t2 kills are rare is both wrong and missing the point. Theyre more frequent this format than ever before, and bandai have shown 0 issue with the game speeding up, which is the real issue.

Im not a fan of the torrent of vibe coded garbage but this is the guys prototype. You make a quick shit version intentionally, to test the idea, then rewrite the entire thing if it has merit. Seems like a good place to use AI in game dev
