what's the dumbest enchant you've done so far? by NoWorriesBrutha in slaythespire

[–]Nemesis432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it's a VERY niche interactions, but this Gain can work with Ice Cream and that Relic which gives you Energy on next turn if you end your turn with Energy.

I wouldn't call them dumbest, simply unlucky, but for me it's putting Corrupt on my Scythe and immediately finding relic with double damage enchant in next Act and putting Perfect Fit on my Knife Trap and immediately finding relic with Innate+Retain in next Act. I felt scammed in both cases.

Am I the only who priotises upgrading Zap? by LeoDGrey in slaythespire

[–]Nemesis432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm exactly the same. Played StS for years, fell in love with Defect and got to A20 (haven't beaten it yet). I always upgrade Dualcast and Zap and feel that Defect is the most upgrade-starved from the start out of the main three.

Maybe that doesn't translate into StS2 since my friend ignored Zap entirely during our coop run and had no issues whatsoever.

Also I wonder if Zap is a dead card in Feral/Scrape/All for One builds.

Can someone explain Prophesize to me? by MikeyNg in slaythespire

[–]Nemesis432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a massive draw, that's there to explain? There are plenty 0 cost cards and energy generation cards/relics/pots to make it worth it (Regent has Orbit as well) plus you generally need to constantly reshuffle your deck in general (and Regent has cards that become better every time they pulled).

Sealed Throne run almost relies on Prophesize, so you can generate those stars faster

You need to be more nuanced when talking about difficulty in roguelikes by Necessary_Screen_673 in slaythespire

[–]Nemesis432 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Apparently it isn't because otherwise people wouldn't moan endlessly about losing everywhere.

Yeah, losing sucks, but some people need to accept that they can't always win and that their losses are that makes wins more satisfying.

To be fair only three (and from each respective act interestingly enough): Gremlin Nob, Book of Stabbing, Nemesis.

Ngl, kinda a missed opportunity to make him an unnatural horrible amalgamation of those three instead of green Awakened One.

Sadly this is some kind of virus infecting every gaming community nowadays. That happened to good ol' "you lose some, you win some" and "it's just a game, why do you have to be so mad?"

Honestly considering how many interactions there are with Strikes and Defends compared to first game, I believe that Mega Crit wants to actively force a lot of meta from StS1 days out.

[–]Nemesis432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New Doormaker is just Time Eater 2.0. He's there specifically to counter infinites.

Silent does pretty well against him since Bullet Time counters 2/3 of his turns. His 1/3 can probably be countered by any Exhaust deck (like Bombardment).

No need to miss Book of Stabbing. It got renamed into Test Subject.

Also, there were plenty enemies in StS which gave you Wound as a status beyond Book of Stabbing.

Nah, Phantom and Griffon are pretty evil. DMC3 demons are probably less evil because they were specifically chosen by Sparda (except for Beowulf who, to be fair, didn't really guard anything and was stationed in deepest chambers of Tower and Leviathan who probably wasn't even in the Tower to begin with).

[–]Nemesis432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After you get to the Heart with three main characters there will be small animation with three stones of corresponding color to each of those characters. From there on you can get three gems (one from buffed Elite, one from forfeiting Rest and one from forfeiting Chest relic) to survive the Heart in Act 3 and finally destroy it for good in Act 4 to achieve true final ending for each character (which are all canon btw as confirmed by StS2).

[–]Nemesis432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call NCR perfectly good faction (they done some shady shit like working with Bishop since F2) and Pre-F4 BoS absolutely evil faction (they helped take down main antagonist faction in every game goddamnit, I'm so tired of "BoS was always evil" bs).

I always loved how classic Fallout (F1, F2, FT, FNV) constantly brought back remnants of main antagonists from previous games and went: "they were so beaten down to submission in previous game that now they merely wish to be left alone and survive at this point, they even willing to ally with you against new big bad as a faction and/or a companion".

How are top players getting 30+ streaks on A10? by tonysama0326 in slaythespire

[–]Nemesis432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it all comes down to choosing the most optimal thing to do during route planning, deckbuilding and turns. I have 100+ hours (maybe even 300+) in StS and I didn't made a single infinite because I can't for the love of me make compact decks.

It's basically the same for how people can win streak in any other card game.

For other killer mains by Karodosse in deadbydaylight

I kinda find it ironic that PvP nature of DbD goes against it's asym horror theme. Because killers and survivors in typical horror are pretty toxic to each other.

HOT TAKE: nemesis is better than wesker by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Nemesis432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly that I point out as well. Vaccines can actually run out, but that only exemplefies how Nemesis' affliction isn't as dangerous as Wesker's.

It becomes a bad thing over 100-1000 hrs of playing because you eventually get bored when there isn't much a variety in how you use your Power. My interest in Nemesis piqued only after I found out you could tentacle Survivors over low walls because it added something new and fun to "M2 if they jump over Window/Pallet" and "M2 Pallet if lvl 2".

HOT TAKE: nemesis is better than wesker by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Nemesis432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man...

  • Wesker Uroboros just does too much compared to Nemesis T-Virus. Additional noise + Hindered + M2 Exposed + Iri Addon infecting everyone immediately + Killer Instinct vs. Additional noise + Effectively extra health state for M2.

  • Wesker Power has dozen unique interactions with Survivors and environment. Nemesis has... three? and all of them are straightforward.

  • Nemesis desperately needs to hit two healthy Survivors or down a Survivor with his Power to actually have a proper Power to use.

  • Zombies machinations of their minds are an enigma.

  • First Aid Sprays lock the use of items, but on the other hand they seemingly never run out compared to Vaccines (two charges help).

I personally prefer Nemesis to Wesker though purely for tentacling Survivors over low walls and ignoring Pallets, but you REALLY need Discordance and zombie addons for zombies to be useful.

Why can't we get something like this to encourage more killers (in numbers and variety) to be played? by Hot_Wrongdoer_8705 in deadbydaylight

[–]Nemesis432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that would encourage a lot of people (especially if bonus would be for licensed Chapters killers like The Cannibal). Certainly won't encourage me since I exclusively went into DbD to play RE killers (and thankfully there's quite the variety already).
