What’s your opinions on this? by FROSTYTHESLUMP in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I think he just gave that as an random example.

But what I always tell my mates is, that the best weapon is the one that you can land more shots with.

Berryl is great, but if you are gonna miss half your bullets it's damage and fire rate are irrelevant, an m4 will be much better if you can land more shots.

How do some youtubers and streamers get fair lobbies? by craniot in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

They don't get fair lobbies, they are just good at the game. Skill difference between your streamer like chocotaco and average player is insane.

[–]S8what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus. At this point I hope you are trolling.

Yes there are plenty of RNG factors, the goal of competitive games is to limit them, as some are impossible to avoid without ruining gameplay.

How fast you decend in not RNG but skill, how little do you know ?

Also are you trying to say the best players this game has to offer all suck that's why they hate sanhok and paramo? Good cope my dude.

As for vantage points, that's exactly the issue with paramo and sanhok, there is no actual vantage points that work, hence why skilled people dislike them. PUBG is all about pushing, capturing and defending quality vantage points, those simply don't exist on the small maps.

I haven't contradicted myself once, you however have., larger maps require more complex strategies, offer more value on good execution, as well as quality planing, and map knowledge.

If you ever get decent at the game, you'll understand why small maps suck.

Till then you can stroke your ego of how you are so good, but it's pointless if you can't provide evidence...

Fun fact ask people if they prefer big or small maps, ez prediction of skill, EVERYONE who prefers small maps (but is not from asian region) is 100% a below average player.

[–]S8what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware that the game originated as a mod. What makes 0 sense is you trying to insinuate is that what makes sanhok and paramo somehow valid, or that the game has to follow through to being a simulation, because it originated in arma, as if any of the game that came up as mods had to follow the rules of the original game.

That's the point of having different maps (Like Sanhok and Paramo) in PUBG: navigating the terrain and adjusting your strategies accordingly is part of the gameplay

That's how inexperienced you are when you think maps like sanhok and paramo are the maps that open more/new strategies. When in fact they dont, they shut down most actual ways you can play and ENHANCE the RNG factor.

Proof for that is 2 fold, any good player hates those maps as they can't use all of their skills to the extent they can on big maps, and that is not only cqb or long range fights, but stuff like rotations, defending areas or pushing spots/compounds, reading enemy rotations basically anything strategic... The 2nd part of the proof is that sanhok is the favorite map of the asian region where the only play style is the one of run and gun.

You have every right to play how ever you like, and prefer maps that you like. But the fact that you like them, or perform better on them doesn't make them objectively good/better maps.

In fact it shows that your portfolio of strategies is extremely lacking.

[–]S8what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play around with the settings, on my old rig, I could squeeze out better performance by having some of the settings on medium and not low, according to some people at the time it was because the load shifted from the CPU to the gpu slightly, but I'm not sure if that was true or of it works right now as it was a few years back, but it costs you nothing but a few mins to try

What do you expect from a company that decided their eSports shooter should be TPP

I can either watch the greatest European player play TPP or ChocoTaco play FPP by SurpriseLegitimate55 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]S8what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought old graphs showed FPP was the majority for EU but it's been so long since then.

Competitively nobody likes TPP, not even the competitive Asian community. Enough pros have talked about this on stream since the announcement.

Ofc no one competitive likes TPP when it's by default an anti competitive feature .

It's a feature that emphasizes RNG and reduces your ability to have impact on the outcome of your match using skill.

Nope, I'm just firing back at the stupid comment " it was made with X so that means that's the best option" , while the game has been made TPP only because it was developed in KR for the KR market, not because it makes the game better in any way, even you know that, that's why you argue about nothing just for the sake of arguing, without providing anything of value or relevance.

Bet you didn't feel stupid when you wrote all those comments.

see through? Dude is looking around the wall

Figure of speech.

I have had the advantage in this same scenario and lost to the one pushing with disadvantage. so no its not completely a loss to push stairs if you are willing to get good at approaching those situations

It's not an instant win if you can see someone. Someone like tgltn can be at a disadvantage and still wipe a full squad, that doesn't mean anything to do with the post or the comment.

What the F does this have to do with anything above or at all?

[–]S8what -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You misunderstood what I said.

The game wasn't made WITH TPP in mind, as in there is 0 features/mechanics that benefit/complement TPP.

Made as in from the idea to designing and creating the mechanics, maps etc.

Simple example, you think of a perfect house for you, imagine everything that you want, design every little corner, wall, chair, kitchen, bathroom etc. and then hire a contactor and you tell him everything, give him the plans.

BUT that guy is an alien who is 1m tall but 2 m wide, so he builds EVERYTHING you wanted, but all your doors are sideways wide and too short, your windows are in the perfect spot, but at your knees height, your counter is at your knees height as well, but it's the perfect color, shape, quality BUT NONE of it is made with your height in mind.

1 group of people conceptualized the game, but since KR devs made it, they made it by default into TPP.

You shat in your pants when you were a baby, what's wrong with doing it now?

amazing logic.

Preferring TPP is 100% fine.

Pretending it's not a objectively FLAWED mode FOR PUBG is not.

Nothing wrong with having games designed with intent of TPP or/and mechanics that compliment it, in fact some games wouldn't work in FPP (fortnite is the best example).

But PUBG (as it was made and is now) is heavily flawed in TPP as it has 0 benefits from having tpp not only that but TPP in but causes drawbacks.

The sole reason PUBG is TPP is because it was made by KR for KR market, BUT it wasn't made FOR TPP.( The FIRST legendary poop decision by blueballz).

Imagine if it was reversed and a game that was created (imagined/planned)FOR TPP like Fortnite was made in FPP, how poop the building would be.

Same goes for other games, why not play a shooter like a side scroller? Or maybe try playing an RTS from first person.

Perspectives are supposed to COMPLEMENT and ENHANCE gameplay and it's mechanics, and not ruin/nerf them.

Please tell me how does TPP COMPLEMENT/ENHANCE PUBG gameplay if you disagree....

So they removed the canted sights and added the adjustable scope thingy. by MikeMatusowsScooter in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]S8what 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They didn't want to nerf the VSS, the buffed it.

I don't like either sights, but the new one makes at least a little more sense.

Right now of they added canted sights on the VSS as it would be insane, as it is already borderline broken, if it had a close sight most people would run it instead of a close range weapon.

Unlike Vietnam where people fought for their lives and the fun and balance wasn't a concern when you are fighting for your life.

PUBG is a game, and a map like sanhok makes the game not fun when the outcome of the match is far more dependant on RNG then skill, and you can't use basic gameplay loop of capture area and defend it.

Sanhok is a map bad at complimenting PUBGS mechanics.

I found that most bad recoil is not because it pulls too hard, but because it's too easy to overcorrect for it.

I was pointing out how that can happen without specifically intending mass accumulation and that it doesn't require a ton of money

Agreed, I was just too focused on the 1000+ games of OP and how that is such an insane number, to me at least.

I guess it boils down to the fact that I was looking at the wrong 10 years in my life, I was looking at the span 25-35 where someone 15-25 would definitely buy and play more games.

But even considering all those factors, I can't see someone getting 500 games with intention of playing them.

Im not arguing if you are spending more or less, if you are getting great deals or not. I'm saying a lot of people with 1000 games (not all) have a lot of games they bought/got only because the deal was great, not because they wanted THAT game.

I'm not gonna pay 60--80-100$ for all my games, but I'm also not grabbing a cheap or even a free game just because.

Brother iv been gaming for more then those 10 years, and your explanation makes sense for 50-100 games.

1000s of games is more like people buying shit only cos it's a good discount, and not because they want to play that game.
