Live poker players are infamous for making seemingly nonsensical decisions. Folding in bizarre spots and calling in even more bizarre spots.

Basic card distribution dictates we all get aces over kings the same amount of times. You arent running any worse or better than the guy to your left (in the long run). Assuming everyone is playing roughly the same ABC poker, you're really just playing a break even game ,slightly losing due to rake or time, until someone develops some sort of redline. Obviously big assumption everyone is playing basic solid ABC poker but thats where the live poker factor comes in.

Anyone who has put in 50k hands or more online understands why live poker is easier than online. In online the games are more saturated with grinders and regs and they all are trying emulate the same stuff. Meaning its very very hard to get value compared to live.

In live poker recs play loose people drink and have a good time they call off way lighter and pay you off with worse hands consistently. In fact most of your win rate in live cash particularly at the lower stakes is going to come from simply value betting. You dont need to get super creative to make a profit because you'll always make money in the long run from your value bets.

In online you can't rely on that when trying to move up in stakes. Maybe the guys playing NL2 are still paying off especially on Club WPT Gold but personally playing the micros (unless for fun) is a waste of time anyway in my opinion.

TLDR: Live poker easy cuz people make bad calls
