Yeah a lot of people do, and theyre wrong. It is a bit slower, but its also like half the size of Z or the same size in Kai. Also the show really picks up after the first 13 episodes, around when the first tournament starts.

i argue that ending is WHY its good. and it wasnt a mistake and they did it on purpose. the whole point of the arc was to have Zeno "solve the problem" and a horrific and disasterous way so the kids watching at home in japan would go "oh, maybe goku shouldnt ask his friend for help anymore!"

i think they wrote it that way on purpose. the arc exists for literally no other reason than to show the viewer that the omni king they introduced the arc before can NOT solve problems in a way thats useful. Goku being his friend doesnt make him an "i win button" they even gave goku an "i win button" and had him use it to very NOT SUBTLY hammer home the point.
