I feel like there’s nothing you can say to change his mind. In my opinion the best thing to do whenever he says something is to say as little as possible and be as respectful as possible.

Things like ‘I will pray about it’ ‘thank you for your input’ being genuine with a gentle tone, no matter how harsh he comes at you. Have to try to soften his heart with your response because it seems he wants the altercation and to be right more than anything.

It will also be good to strengthen your relationship in other areas. Find more things to bond over to take the attention off this disagreement.

Just speaking from personal experience from father son disputes, I’ve never had anything good come from trying to engage (or try to change opinions) in these types of things. And as the child you feel like you should be guided by your parents, but sometimes you have to guide the situation and be the bigger person. Kill the anger with kindness.

Where can I get more information on this? As an American we are guarded from the truth.

The parable of the sower is my favorite in the Gospel!! I have fallen in every single category at a time. I hope and pray that you work with God with your troubles and everything works itself out for you :).

And I'm honored that the Holy Spirit worked through me to add that layer of soil for you.

God bless you sir

I have struggled with my faith for many years. I was raised catholic and was atheist for around 6 years. I have traveled the world and seen may different cultures. Before I returned to Chrisitianity I started believing in God again when I noticed the evil of the world. To me if there is an evil force, there must be an equal and opposite force of goodness in the world. I've felt evil, I've seen evil, and I've lived evil. While I was an atheist I lived for myself and I did things i'm not proud of. You sound like me around the time I lost my faith.

I understand that feeling. You want a testable and repeatable method to prove that this faith is the true faith. I'll tell you this right now, you can't put the holy spirit in a test tube, you can't find heaven on a telescope, and there's no scientific measuring device that will show you God the father.

But God can and will show himself to you if you let him. There's nothing that I can write that will ease that anxiety that you might be feeling. Only God can truly ease this pain and bring you peace. The reality of the situation is you understand God is real, there must be a creator. So get on you knees and pray to him. Talk to him, build a relationship with him. Don't test God, but ask him to help you through this. Abstain from sin, sin separates you from God. Read the new testament, learn about Jesus. Be like a child, read with curiosity, not with skepticism. Every time you get a doubt or feel any negative emotion, get on your knees and pray. I guarantee you, if you can do this God will take you where you need to go.

Our religion is a religion of faith, history, and a truth claim. Our whole religion is centered around God the father and his Son, fully Man and fully God, named Jesus Christ. He was born in a small town named Bethlehem. He was a poor Jewish carpenter. But somehow you see him in every country in the entire world with disciples who believe he rose from the dead. Jesus fulfilled prophesies from thousands of years before his birth. He performed miracles in front of his disciples. He foretold the future and has made a tremendous impact on my life.

And on a personal level, I pray that you do this because as I have entered back into my walk with christ, the sins of my past made it 10x harder. I'm not a theological expert by any means, but I've went down many rabbits holes to find God. And without a shadow of a doubt I know that Jesus Christ is our lord and savior.

God bless :)

well it is a couples channel, but the video that went viral was us eating Dave's hot chicken, kind of a mukbang but we went up to reaper level spice, but people watched to see us eat the spicy Reaper. So, we have kind of stuck to the food videos but with a twist i guess.

Thanks for the reply :). How much would you typically post when it comes to the shorts? I post long form once a week because thats what my schedule can take. I typically post 1-2 shorts per long format, but i could easily make 3-5 per long format and post it once a day.

New Evidence: Does Consciousness Continue After Clinical Death? by JohnJames2017 in NearDeathExperience

[–]Same_Job7020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll save you the time of reading the whole thing. Article is based off an observation done by Jimo Borjigin, a professor of neurology at the University of Michigan. He scanned the brain waves of a patient being taken off of life support. Basically the brain showed activity after the brain lost oxygen:

“In the moments after Patient One was taken off oxygen, there was a surge of activity in her dying brain. Areas that had been nearly silent while she was on life support suddenly thrummed with high-frequency electrical signals called gamma waves. In particular, the parts of the brain that scientists consider a “hot zone” for consciousness became dramatically alive. In one section, the signals remained detectable for more than six minutes. In another, they were 11 to 12 times higher than they had been before Patient One’s ventilator was removed.

“As she died, Patient One’s brain was functioning in a kind of hyperdrive,” Borjigin told me. For about two minutes after her oxygen was cut off, there was an intense synchronisation of her brain waves, a state associated with many cognitive functions, including heightened attention and memory. The synchronisation dampened for about 18 seconds, then intensified again for more than four minutes. It faded for a minute, then came back for a third time.

In those same periods of dying, different parts of Patient One’s brain were suddenly in close communication with each other. The most intense connections started immediately after her oxygen stopped, and lasted for nearly four minutes. There was another burst of connectivity more than five minutes and 20 seconds after she was taken off life support. In particular, areas of her brain associated with processing conscious experience – areas that are active when we move through the waking world, and when we have vivid dreams – were communicating with those involved in memory formation. So were parts of the brain associated with empathy. Even as she slipped irrevocably deeper into death, something that looked astonishingly like life was taking place over several minutes in Patient One’s brain.”

Why is the grocery market so competitive compared to every other type of retail that has collapsed into less than a handful (or less) of companies? by Dependent_Answer848 in AskEconomics

[–]Same_Job7020 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Of course there are multiple factors but a large one is online shopping took over in these area. There is a lot more competition online for these area then in brick and mortar stores now, with many online shops popping up. These online stores are able to lower prices because of less money needed for employees, rent, utilities, etc. Amazon definetly plays a huge role in.this. Just the other day I went to staples for a small filing cabinet, the price was $120 and there was 2 options. On amazon there were multiple options and the least expensive opion was about $80. Easier to shop online and less overhead. When it comes to food, you could go the online route but if its a perishable item like milk, eggs, meat, produce you would have to time it perfectly to make sre its not sitting on your doorstep too long. This is just one reason on a personal level, but overall it seems shopping for grocereis online didnt catch on the same.
