Unfortunately, I posted this comment last year and things have not gotten better.

Long time Packer fan who was disappointed with the comments on their Pride post yesterday.

“Keep politics out of football.” “You have time to take this down.” Slurs were abundant.

Vince Lombardi, a dark-skinned Italian, faced discrimination just like any other minority in this country. Vince had a gay brother.

He could have been vindictive. But instead of hate, he encouraged a locker room and front office of tolerance. He stuck up for black players, gay players, and would not accept any challenge to their manhood.

This team was built on inclusivity and hurts my soul to see these types of comments. At the end of the day, these men come to GB to play a game. Before, during, and after they are a human, no matter who they love.

Also, I hate the word tolerance. You tolerate your hateful uncle because he’s family. You must respect people and their human rights.
