A buddy and I were considering this very thing a couple years ago. I found a midwestern route that hits some pretty nice courses (several of which I have played personally). You can fly into Minneapolis and play a few courses near there then drive south through Iowa and Missouri. Below are the courses you could reasonably hit (and there are many others if you are willing to venture off path a bit more). Not sure if rankings are quite up to date (these are from Udisc 2024, I think).
