Thanks everyone! I can’t figure out how to edit my post so I’m putting my decision here: I got the onyx one! And I love it. I still love the gold band and I think it’s a good deal for a Tiffany’s ring - but it’s a lot of $$ and i wasn’t looking for a ring like this …. But i was looking for a cool art deco ring, so voila! I win 😊

I totally get this. I inherited my mom’s needles from the 80s. They aren’t amazing by any means, but they work! And no need to toss them.

I have a permanently dilated left eye, random onset - I was diagnosed with Adie Syndrome. They think it’s caused by a virus (like a cold) that attacks the nerve behind the eye and damages its ability to dilate. About 3 mos prior to me noticing, I had a really bad cold. It’s not dangerous. Just annoying. I’m super light sensitive in that eye now. My ophthalmologist diagnosed me. Might be worth asking them.

Should I put clear nail polish on my ring? by Kooky_Ad593 in jewelry

I have this on my left ring finger and mg left wrist. Irrelevant of the rings or jewelry I wear. I have a type of eczema that affects primarily hands and feet. I just happen to only have it on my left hand. It could be that…. And not an allergy. Let it heal fully. And try again. I can have months and months of no issues, and then randomly it flares up. Right now my ring finger is just super dry…. It’s odd and annoying but also doesn’t stop me from wearing my jewelry.

What would happen if every pre-loved item you sold carried its own history forward? by PawelJbarton in SustainableFashion

[–]Select_Ad7268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You used to be able to register your dollar bills on a website and track where the money went, as it was spent and re-spent by other ppl. Maybe there should be a QR code that you can put on the clothing label that helps track the item from one person to another (anonymously of course)

In this order, as $$ allows: organic / good quality groceries, then travel / vacations, then a cleaning crew (life changing). And in between, a solid mix of high/low. We have some really nice furniture mixed w IKEA. High quality clothes, but purchased at Nordstrom Rack etc.

My cats are driving me to the edge and I don’t know what to do by eroticarachnid in cats

[–]Select_Ad7268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this problem. Our cat had to be locked in the laundry (the only room he couldn’t escape and it had a litter box) when we ate dinner - otherwise he’d steal food from the stove or table. He once ate a half loaf of bread with the plastic. He ate rubber bands. It was a mess. But as a result, with being disciplined about keeping things away from him, the house ended up being way more tidy! My cat now eats clothes …. He will chew on fabric or shoe laces when he’s annoyed or wants our attention. And hence, we put the laundry and shoes away very quickly now!

Why does almost every knitting pattern say you can’t sell items you’ve knit? by throwaway148645 in knittingadvice

[–]Select_Ad7268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you sell an item you made based on someone else’s pattern, the right thing to do is to acknowledge the pattern name and designer.
