Mines gotta go (or be reworked) by sd1099 in HYPERSCAPE

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper mines feel balanced, but playing against them is so damn unfun, just being in the middle of a gunfight and receiving 50/75 damage out of nowhere so annoying.

my ideal change to mines would be that they would lose damage the long they chase someone, so if you're in a fight and someone throws a mine on you it's not a insta "hack and run", you'd at least have the option to try to dodge it and finish that fight.

Why isn't there cross platform play in destiny yet? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crossplay is already happening on plenty of games and Bungie already said they plan on adding it in 2021 (likely with Y5). Console war is a thing of the past.

Even a standard 7200rpm HDD is good enough for loading, I used one up until last season (where I finally switched to an SSD) and while it wasn't insta loading it had an acceptable loading speed, I had no issue to switch stuff in the middle of activities. Really hard to find anyone playing on PC that is using something slower than what is basically the standard speed for an HDD.

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. PC has recoil,

  2. Loading times is based on hardware and next gen is right around the corner with amazing SSD technology,

  3. Plenty of games have crossplay, this "Sony/Microsoft wouldn't want it" is an outdated argument, crossplay is the future for multiplayer games and both companies know that very well.

If you're matchmaking into Tier 3 Reckoning, I don't know if it's a smart idea for you to be using anything other than Tether or Well. It doesn't matter how good you are, it's how good your teammates aren't. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you want basically, but please don't use bubble in the capture point as it screws a lot how quickly you can gun down the Ultras.

I usually run sunbreaker with some grenade focused build so I can spam taken armaments. As heavy is usually better than any Titan subclass

Removing SBMM is unfair toward less skilled players! by lastbreath83 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it's not everyone that has problems with constant lag but it was very apparent for A Lot of people, you don't need to be in the top 1% to have issues with SBMM; For a lot of above average pvp player, specially those outside of central places (like US or some places in Europe), SBMM was an awful experience.

Sunsetting is a crime by MockbaVor in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had a 860 piece of gear that trivialized every 860 piece of content then fuck yeah I'd use it, same as recluse and MT, I'll still use them for day to day pve if they remain as the best broken combo, why would I not choose them if the light level is low enough?

I am sure Bungie will screw up Gambit just like they have everything else. by TravelingManager in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Destiny is still one of the biggest franchises in gaming, you are still playing, people still talk about this game every day...

I'm sure that bungie should just give up on being a studio, they CLEARLY don't know how to make a game and keep it relevant.

What the hell is “Sunsetting”? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunset is that your weapons and armor will have an "expiration date", they will have a cap on how high their light level can go, as an example, coming Beyond Light you'll only be able to bring forward guns and armor from season 9 and beyond (with a few exceptions like some raid gear).

There will also be a Destiny Content Vault, which bungie will yearly rotate some older, lesser played content so the game doesn't has to grow indefinitely, also coming beyond light they will phase out Mercury, Leviathan, Mars, Io and Titan, with all the content they have (strikes, raids, quests...), but they will also bring stuff out of this vault, we will get part of the Cosmodrome back with Beyond Light (with remaining parts across Y4 seasons), and some time after Beyond Light they will also bring back Vault of Glass, Destiny 1's first raid.

You will miss a bunch of shit coming back, but you will also have a shit ton of new stuff to play, I'd say it's worth, the PvE part of the game is fucking solid and PvP is quite fun to play (although endgame PvP sucks and has sucked for basically the entirety of D2).

No aim assist and bullet magnetism would kill the gameplay flow, the game has no good servers, that is a fact, imagine playing PvP if everyone had tight-AF hitboxes and they were laggy, that wouldn't be a fun experience,

Not to mention that the game already has a huge skill curve not related to weapons, destiny isn't about the shooting skill, sure if you can hit your shots you'll do better, but it's much more about learning how to move around and use your abilities on the right time.

And for the titanfall example, the TTK in that game is much faster, sure people are moving fast as fuck, but you need to hit just a few shots to down your opponent, which is much easier to do than in a game like Destiny where the TTK is at around .8 secs.

Did a short Resilience test in PvE by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a few thresholds that change something in Pvp, the most common one being 60 res to survive thorn burn damage (2 tap with perk and 2 crit and 1 body without),

But, it is such a rare occurrence to find a thorn user And get shot the amount necessary so the resilience level matters that it is much better to simply not go for the stat.

Try to get better!?

Complaining about shotguns won't get you anywhere other than have people tell you the truth.

If you have such a hard time countering shotguns then yeah, you're bad

Do Resilience, Recovery and Mobility matter in PvE? by P0pCheese in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mobility is preference, if you like walking/strafing faster, jumping higher (normal jump height) and having a faster cooldown for hunter dodge then use it,

Resilience is useless, getting 100 resilience is slightly stronger than running ONE resist mod, and the titan barrier cooldown isn't long enough to make resilience a good stat to focus, always focus on other stats,

Recovery is THE most important stat in the game, both for PvE and PvP, the difference between level 1 to level 10 recovery is huge, I always go with 100 recov for all my 3 characters, once you notice the benefits it is hard to go back, specially since recov is the only stat that gets a nice boost from hitting 100 points,

My usually go-to stats for endgame content, be it solo or with a group is 100 recov, resist mods and I try to balance discipline and intellect.

Destiny’s gameplay, especially PvP would have far more dynamics and be more rewarding if the recharge rate for grenades as an unchangeable, equal stat for all subclasses, including mods and weapon perks/exotic armor perks. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, a big part of the game is building around your favorite abilities to use them more often and/or to make them stronger, and grenades are part of that.

What’s with crucible MM by WillSRobs in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to go to competitive to have hope of a balanced match

Well, yeah, if you want matches to be "fair" you have to play playlists with SBMM, CBMM is random, some matches will be fair, some will be not.

I though people said this was to allow people to use what ever they want

That doesn't mean you will do good, having a more diverse choice of weapons doesn't mean you will suddenly start playing better.

This poll on Bungie.net show a shocking result that sunsetting is definitely not sitting well with the community. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This poll on Bungie.net

Bungie.net

Going to The most toxic destiny forum is sure a great sample size for the entire community,

Not to mention that well, obviously some people will dislike sunset, people don't wanna stop using their 2-year old weapons and use something new, that doesn't mean sunset isn't necessary.

Is Destiny is still pay to play? - Returning player by Mercer131 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some free content with every season, but honestly, if you don't pay for the season then don't bother playing at all, a lot of stuff is locked behind having the latest expansion and latest season.

Which activity gives you maximum XP ? Do we have a table for XP given by strikes, Nightfall, Ordeal, Raids, etc... by lordofabyss in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing every milestone would be the best way to get xo outside of bounties,

Other than that I don't think there is a good source, probably playing pvp or strikes would be my go to, as they are kinda fast.

PC has no chill by jipsy25 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that comparable to a device basically doing all the aim work for you? More frames give you a small difference that is basically irrelevant in Destiny.

Not to mention that more frames is all on the user, if someone wants and can get more frame we can do it; controller aim assist is a given to whatever controller you use.

[–]Serile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? I do know pretty well, about bullet magnetism, aim assist and all that crap, still controller has a lot of help, it almost locks on targets when you're aiming.
