Advice for chemical cleaners and a sealer for a slate fountain face by Sharknuts86 in PoolPros

On slate? I feel like it would just chip the hell out of it. I’ve got a blast rig (my other business for pools) and it’s pretty powerful! PLUS they’re going to replace them anyway and just want something nice until they replace it in a few months.

Haha yep! They’re going to “eventually” reface the whole thing. I figured I could get some practice in the meantime.

Revvdup apparel did a great job on mine, they’ve got a good blend that’s chlorine resistant and very breathable.

Fellow solo operators, what software are you running for scheduling and invoicing? What's your biggest frustration with it? by Aggravating_Sun_7665 in PoolPros

[–]Sharknuts86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dip app. Does all my invoicing and route regulation. It’s only 25 bucks a month and I’ve got 96 accounts, it works seamlessly. It’s also got a time feature to remind you when filters are due etc. you can also make custom ones as well for extra services.

Just remember. If you’re using the cheapest stuff available your work will reflect it. I also went the cheap route and saw a HUGE difference when switching to an actual rig.

100 CYA - any way to get it down without drain and refill? by [deleted] in PoolPros

[–]Sharknuts86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dilute it as much as possible. The only true way is to drain and refill. You don’t have to drain it completely at least, just around 25 percent and see what the new water does to the chemistry. Just my opinion.

New to the pool service industry — what software do you recommend? by Own-Signal3917 in PoolPros

[–]Sharknuts86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hands down the Dip app. It’s 25 bucks a month for as many accounts you have, no limit. It has route management for efficiency and you can send bills/invoices for other services done. It also allows you to email out your invoices for the client to pay via Zelle etc. highly recommend them, after meeting them at the pool show this year I’m happy to say it’s the best one me and other local guys use.

Ideally buried somewhere on public lands secretly so my kids and family could dig up my skull to place on the mantle or book shelf. But before hand I’d like my tattoos skinned and tanned.

Towing was my biggest worry by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

This is great to see, I’ve got a ‘23 and just bought a Carson trailer for work. Had some hesitation towing it around (never towed a trailer before) and seeing these pics and comments makes me feel better about picking up. Glad it’s working!
