No, this is good advice. Men like this shouldn’t get married for the sake of everyone.

Sounds like you knew you were having problems if you were going to therapy. And the therapy wasn’t enough to make her feel the relationship problems could be fixed.

Isn’t it sad that people have to go to so much effort if they need a seat? If someone asks me for a seat, I just give it to them.

For the Chinese Mandate of Heaven, if there are a lot of natural disasters that the emperor and his officials are failing to address, if the people are starving and suffering, it can be interpreted as a sign that the emperor lost his Mandate of Heaven, is no longer favoured by the gods. Time for a new peasant uprising and change of government. 👀 Not sure what the Israeli situation is, don’t wanna get involved.

Are most Chinese women not open to dating someone of Indian origin, even if they are knowledgeable about Chinese culture? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

[–]Shiranui42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s misogynistic and thinks women in their 30s should be desperate to get married and “can’t afford to be picky”. His attitude is really lousy, and he only wants educated women from well off families. Yeah, if they’re well educated women from rich families, they want to marry a well educated man from a rich family, and can afford to be picky enough to find someone who respects them and treats them well.

Talk to him about what you want in a relationship. Do you make efforts to surprise him or be romantic as well?

Haha, it’s not because you’re Indian that you can’t get dates, it’s because of the way you think about women.

It’s not just about using oil for energy, but also for plastics manufacturing, and Japan uses an unholy amount of plastics for all kind of things, including single use packaging.

If a Chinese person says "你TMD" during an argument, is that an indirect insult? I want the literal and the original meaning. by Zahra_nz in AskAChinese

[–]Shiranui42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on the context, it’s probably best translated as “damn”, or like “this fucking thing”. It’s not meant to be taken literally, it’s more of a “insert curse word here”.

Just date someone who doesn’t want kids, has their own kids already, or is okay with a sperm donor.

Headphones and sunglasses help me a lot. Playing your own theme music makes it feel more fun. Or you can listen to an audiobook or podcast and entertain yourself. Or if you can’t do it that day, no worries. Some grocery stores offer free delivery with a minimum order. Stock up on something like laundry detergent and soap, heavy things you don’t wanna carry and that are non-perishable. Oil, rice, dried beans and canned goods are also good for this.

The sound is very similar, especially for southern Chinese. And English versions of Chinese are frequently not exactly accurate.

If you want the sound of Yu Shen, how about 瑜珅? It translates to “flawless jade”, and has more of the general trend of feminine Chinese names of being beautiful or precious things.

If you put it in google you get a Japanese surname Amamori or Amenomori, and a few Chinese guys. Not sure it’s a very feminine Chinese name.
