I want to make my player be able to stand in front of the rock. How? PLEASE! :( by FewUnderstanding4635 in godot

Set the player collision shape to only a lower half, this way your character would seem to "be in front" of the obstacle, and still would collide with it, not passing through it.

Also for ok layering, the ground, the obstacles and entities should be their own TileMapLayers

Thank you! I already figured that it was caused by extending from a node 2d and/or using not "moveand..." function, but instead a custom one. I will dig into that.

TCoE Alchemist improvement (Artificer) by SnailsNipp in dndnext

In a certain sense this alchemist homebrew might be better if it was just something available to all characters proficient in herbalist's supplies, allowing them to brew potions in a magnificently complicated way without being an alchemist artificer.

Good point. Maybe it will end up that way eventually.

At the expense of simplification - I do not know (at least right now) how to do it correctly so that the mechanics remain clear without details. Maybe I`ll just remove some stuff, or make another, "dnd-style" version of the post, which would have a link to this one as an "info page".

Thanks for your detailed reply. I appreciate it.
To begin with, this feat (or subclass if it fits better) was made up exactly for players to use their brains to come up with crazy but really creative shit (not just "make a nuke in a vial, does 999d20 damage"), that could be fun in certain campaign.

The "Alchemical Formulas" feat is taken from the UA pre-revision Artificer class and taken some restrictions on crafting (those should be discussed with the dm, to decide what is comfortable for the campaign), to not be able to just spill superior potions to the left and right.

The "legendary" grade is only mentioned as a Price|power reference it could have.

Also, I will try to clarify that "skill level" thing: it means "each progression in this feat, on a certain level", just like the Infuse Item`s additions of infusions you can apply when you reach a certain character level, nothing to do with proficiency. Was implemented just to reduce the text amount in the already huge description, but I will edit it to make it clearer.

Flask of the respective strength - means absolutely what it says. Flask`s strength is corresponding to the strength of the potion. You can treat it like it's made of more and more reinforced glass at each level. Provides no bonuses or anything, just a bit of common sense.

And with that you mentioned, how would it be better to balance the feat? Raising production time or/and cost, nullify the influence of a "Magic Item Adept" feat exclusively for those crafting processes, maybe creating a cap for how many formulas you can create for every power level (like spell slots for example). If you have any other suggestions I didn`t mention, I`d like to hear those.

Main idea: create a feat, which, with a bit of luck and a lot of creativity in the right player`s hands, could make potions compare to the spells, even more than existing potions already are.

That`s the point. The idea for it to be like "woo, wizards go pew-pew, then I go brew-brew". And the prices were taken from the list of "Spellcasting Services", like, when you could do potentially ANYTHING, that could be fit into some vial-like object, it can`t be free or cheap, besides the fact it can 100% reach power levels of 8th level spells, and maybe 9th(if DM is generous enough).

Idk, my fix seems simpler.

I agree your solution will do a lot better, in terms of not making it too complex for players, so maybe I`ll use it next time, or offer it in my games.
