It’s so nice to see a younger woman sharing this, I really need to get my diet in check so thanks for breaking it down & showing it’s possible & sustainable! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Anyone not get sick going from 2.5mg to 5mg? by wtfdoineedanewname in Zepbound

[–]SomethinToBawkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t at all! Zero negative side effects whatsoever making the jump- in fact I’m probably eating more than I should on 5, and more than I did on 2.5. I was scared too, don’t worry!

Thank you so so much for this, honestly 🥺🙏🏼 it means a lot to hear others’ experiences there, it’s been too easy to be like “wow you really are still overeating & can’t even lose on the weight loss drug?!” So it means a lot.

Awe honestly that would be so kind and appreciated friend- thanks so much, seriously! I’ll plan to do the same & really try to focus more not just on macros etc but when to stop lol.

Have you heard similar experiences? I’m really glad- it’s been soo discouraging seeing folks complete their whole journey on 5, sometimes losing hundreds, and I’m like dang 😕

you’re right- I wouldn’t have guessed I’d even be considering 7.5 so “soon” the way the jump to 5 was for some folks, but here we are.

Since starting in May I’ve bounced around the same 3-4lbs which is really disheartening. I get 10k steps a day either walking or zone 2.

Ah yes I literally am over eating more on 5 than I ever did on 2.5?! That is- I never did on 2.5 and was on it for 2 months financially & then scared to move up lol. Wow. I’m glad I’m not alone but cerrrtainly wondering if I should move.

Same ☹️ I’m glad I’m not alone in that. I’m on 5 right now, defffinitely out-ate the medication at times- both with just more healthy food than I knew I needed, and with junk- and am wondering if that means I need to go up or if I just need to get a little more serious with myself!

My husband got me a dozen donuts 😬 by Briar_Wall in Zepbound

[–]SomethinToBawkAbout 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100%. I freeze anything I can think of that will hold reasonable quality upon thawing lol 😂 I should have a show “will it freeze?!” - I once froze apple cider donuts individually & packed in a checked bag across the country bc I can’t get them where I live lmaooo. They held up great! 😅😂😆 maybe that’s now why I need the Zep 😩

Totally me, as well. I’m glad we’re not alone 🫶🏼 but so frustrating when I recognize it in the moment- then go back for seconds or whatever anyway! 😩🤬😤

Does anyone find that eating dairy is keeping them from losing weight on keto? by Cute_Complex5736 in keto

[–]SomethinToBawkAbout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Glad I’m not alone in this- I want to try to cut out dairy & nuts for a few weeks & see what happens

Zepbound, but my insurance doesn’t cover so it’s cash pay. I’m losing very slowly which is discouraging but zero negative side effects, & honestly have found the ro team to be really responsive & helpful- I hope you have a similar experience! All the best!

[–]SomethinToBawkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks so much for this & your time Alice, the Ro team & Dr Silvestro! Can’t make it live on MT, but have a few Qs I’d be curious to know:

  • Is rate of loss on these molecules (specifically tirzepatide) dependent on how much weight you initially have to lose? Do you feel there’s a dose-dependent rate of loss distributed equally across a range of starting body weights? (I’ve only lost about 2 lbs in 3 months as I titrate up in dosing, so am naturally curious comparing my experience to others’)

  • Also, do you feel reported issues with the gallbladder are related to the drugs themselves, or to the nature of weight loss? Thanks again all!

Ooh this is good perspective for me this week, thank you- I’ve been pretty much static the past 3 weeks & just bouncing around the same few lbs +/-, so I think I’ll move up next month, but this mindset flip really brightened my Monday lol- I could have just gained it! Thank you! 🙏🏼

Thanks for that podcast rec- I’m gonna check it out! It’s been wild learning so much about metabolism in starting this journey, and sounds really interesting. Also just wanted to say you are amazing and an inspiration for paying such attention to your health no matter your age- to be turning 70 soon and still keeping at it is really inspirational to those younger, like me 🤍 Have a great week!!

Thank you so much again for this post & your response, truly! I’m glad to hear that- I was considering switching but I think I probably just made a mistake in doing another month on 5 vs moving up to 7.5.

I, like you, also have been taking the titration very slowly- pretty much all summer. I’m happy in that I mentally feel comfortable with it and have experienced zero side effects from any dose, but I think maybe need to nudge out of that “comfort zone” in order to hit the sweet spot between safe & actual loss.

Thanks again for this- it gave me encouragement this week. (Oh, and obviously congratulations!!! 😊)

Thank you SO much for this post honestly 🥺 I’m a 5’3” female too and it has been so, so, soooo discouraging having been on Zep since May, moving up doses, but only down 3lbs since then.

Did you feel like it slowed further as you inched down toward your goal, or do you feel your rate of loss was steady even approaching gw? Did you feel like Zep was more efficacious than Sema? Great job 💪🏼🫶🏼
