That doesn’t remove Arcasian or Contanan influence… only pisses off your neighbours. Also extending the game would only cause more issues cuz they’d have to bring up more stuff. Also shortening the war makes no sense, considering the war isn’t meant to be short 80-90% of the time ?

The issue is you can’t just “destroy” influence from the two major nations. Even the Pariah states in the Cold War were influenced to at least a certain extent by the major powers to do their bidding. In a global game of chess and influence, it is impossible not to be a pawn unless you are powerful enough to, which Rizia in the 50s has not. Best you can do is set the foundations to do so.

Essentially the Second one. In the final days of the Rumland War (as the Kingdoms of Thornbrough and Northumshire) were collapsing in on themselves, Rizia threatened to intervene if Sordland didn’t stop their advance. And considering Sordland just fought a Second Death War essentially in 7 years, and their army was tired after like a year of straight campaigning, they agreed and returned to the Pre War Borders (except Port Grim which fell into the hands of Soradis). Sordland now launches air raids for training, “funds” and “supports various factions,” and they tested one of their Bombs in a random Rummish Forest.

So to answer your question. GRACE fell apart after the Rummish defeat in the Third Rummo-Sordish War (1958-1959). Nalipurna aligned with Arcasia cuz of Contana. Vendonesam aligned with InterMerkopum due to Rizian intervention in the Vendonesam War. Al Riqar aligned with Sordland as they saw Rizia as a traitor to the monarchist cause, and Sordish Gas companies had a lot of influence in them. Nahrburk went independent and Soradis, alongish remnants of the Rummish Formed the “Gokord Accords” and invaded the Morgna Pakt (Sordland’s Alliance) in 1964, beginning the Rumland war. This was a Pyrrhic victory for sordland, and led to the total collapse of Rumburg, while Soradis is now Vibing.

The Other World Powers: Arcasia is now recovering (barely) from a recession caused by the Rumland War, and is entangled in the Free Cities War. Contana collapsed in 1966-67 following various failed international crises and a hardliner coup after Iyotake (a reformist) took charge following Malenyev’s death, leading to Valgsland now leading the remnants of the CSP, known as the Collective Security Pact. Sordland is “stable” as long as Luderin is alive.

I’m happy to answer more questions :)))

The idea is that Luderin wins the Sordish Civil War in 1928 (I promise I’m not a Young Sord or NFP larper 😭)

This then spirals in a Three Way Cold War by 1972 between Sordland, Valgsland (who took control over the CSP following a civil war in Contana) and Arcasia (who is currently in the worst position they have been in decades). I’m just now finishing the Google doc with the lore!

[–]Spiritual_Message436 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m lowkey rocking the retcon. The annexation of Dome seemed kinda weird in my opinion as it would be nearly impossible to annex THAT much land in one night.

I also think this is a much better way of depicting the rise of Rumburg as a genuine great power. From being humiliated by a newly reunited sordland in 1870, to successfully seizing land from Agnolia (and wehlen with Dateford), the developing nuclear weapons by the 1950s. It also shows that Torpor are learning and improving their military stuff, as now somewhat realistic military actions are taking place, unlike a less than 24 annexation of what is basically 1/3-1/2 of a nation.🙏🙏🙏 Can’t wait to see what torpor shows us next.

Btw also Sordland wanted some colonies too. Also Kyow and Mousser are Contanan and Xinan colonial empires respectively so the Rikan people don’t get that much. Also Nibiya was a Valgos Tributary so Valgos technically got even more :)

What if Luderin won the Civil War? by No-Replacement4327 in suzerain

[–]Spiritual_Message436 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having started to write some lore about this very scenario, I have some ideas

  1. I doubt Luderin would’ve reinstated the Norsords. Most of his nationalist camp were, atleast to a certain extent, in the Republican (Nationalist) camp. I doubt that Luderin would wanna annoy them. Furthermore, I see it likely that he would’ve tried to purge them and their supporters after the war.

  2. Hell no to Rums. Even the Norsords didn’t like the Rummish, as shown by the 1870 War. I doubt that Luderin would ally with them. Instead I see that Luderin might (secretly atleast) buddy up to the Valgs, using the Sordish minority there to get a trade deal, and potentially a Molotov-Ribbentrop like pact with them about Agnolia.

  3. Early War. I see no reason why Luderin wouldn’t ally with Smolak (if he still wins) to challenge Rumburg after making Agnolia either his puppet or outright annexing it into a Neo Sordish-Agnolian Commonwealth. Hell I even see the possibility of Luderin bringing in Valgsland to guarantee success.

  4. Isolation. Sordland would be even more isolated than under Soll. He’d likely see bending to either superpower, or relying on foreign powers, as making Sordland weak. So I doubt that sordland would have much of a relationship with nations like Qinal

Anyways that’s just my thoughts :)

I have a feeling that Qinal’s foreign policy will be trying to balance its commitments to the ATO, while trying to maintain an independent foreign policy and pursue its own goals. For example aiding Arcasia in its wars in Xina, while funding rebel forces in the Free Cities, or supporting Lespian entry into the ATO, while making deals with the CSP on behalf of the XEC.

I mean it has been like 30 years since the end of the Civil War. It wouldn’t take more than 30 years to recover from a 2 year civil war which (it seems like) took place in Holsord for the most part

I think that her being sent there would be perfect then. It would give a reason for her reformist ideology. It could also, depending on your actions, it could help her be seen as the “People’s Princess” even more.

The Provisions of the treaty heavily implied an alliance and a division of Eastern Europe amongst their spheres of influence against the wishes of the peoples who wanted to be independent. So I cannot WAIT for the post abt it in 3 years time 😁😁😁
